AJs-1$ Spin&Go - 1st hand. AJs-1$ Spin&Go - 1st hand.

Hi all,

This was 1st hand on Party Poker so pretty much readless.

Hero is on the button with AJs and minraises with AJs, SB folds, BB re-raises to 6.5BB.

What would be your line of play?

In general, I believe 1$ spin and go are pretty loose but probably jamming readless is not an option?

Your thoughts are very welcomed.

I haven't played spin n gos for a few years but based off the style of play from 3 years ago, that's a snap shove for me

He's going to be doing that with any Ax, lots of broadway, kx

If you call you're going to be forced to check fold to a lot of flops and no way you're folding if there is an A or J or spade draw on the flop.

My meaning is that if it's AQ+ then with a call you're still likely busting anyway. It's 3 handed, it's $1, it's recreational player playground, you jam here and most of the time he calls your at worst just flipping and often times ahead. For each time he calls with QQ,KK,AA,AK,AQ there's a far more frequent call with AT, KQ, 66, A2s, etc

This gives you some fold equity, protects against them 3betting you too light

I play it differently. I 4Bet and call an all-in if he shoves. But then again, I do this with 66+, AQo+ and AJs+

With the SPR at that point isn't it just an auto jam of any flop if he just calls the 4bet?

Not disagreeing with your idea, but I'd definitely love to hear not just why you do it this way but how you then play it post flop.

It would seem to me that you're letting off KQ, QJ type hands easy where they can just fold/call depending on if they connect to the flop. It seems like you're letting them fold in hands where you mostly would have won and letting them get it in when they would have beaten you anyway

in 1 $ spins you can just Shove 25 bb AJs from the button, there are to many recs calling with worse, the call way to loose from the SB and BB preflop so just better shove and avoid variation.
