I got the standart package, there are many videos from year 2010 are they still good enough to learn the fundamentals and beat the low stakes to mid stakes?

or should I only watch newer videos >2011.

Thank you for your help

I would start with the 2011 and 2012 videos. I'd go to 2010 videos only when you're done watching all the 2011-12 stuff you want to watch or if you see something unique and interesting from 2010 that you feel could benefit you.

A lot of the 2010 content is fine/relevant (adjusting to a player that open jams wide at 20bb has not changed, facts are facts), it's just that the best HUSNG videos of 2010 were watched by many of our best coaches that made videos in 2011 and so on. So if someone makes a really good video and has new insights, our best coaches are seeing that and incorporating that new insight into their own decision making, further improving their own videos.

It may not work as black and white as that, but that's the general idea on why newer videos are better on average.

I have a standard subscription. Are there any recommended videos for balancing ranges and a GTO approach?? I understand that these are not really required for the low stakes, but I would still like to get my feet wet with these concepts.

Some of the older Skates videos will talk about this. Coffeeyay might touch on it too.

Otherwise, Will Tipton's Video Pack is really where GTO strategies are more discussed in depth. It's newer and Will has a deep understanding of this (though so do Coffeeyay and Skates, it's just Skates hasn't covered this as in depth and not for years, and Coffeeyay has not focused on this in his videos if I remember correctly).

Yeah, I've been mostly focusing on maximally exploiting villains since it's very rare that a balanced approach will be more profitable than squeezing out every penny out of villain's mistakes since most villains are weak and weak villains make very obvious mistakes that are easy to attack.

I do touch on balance at times, and it is a very strong underlying theme as it helps to understand what balanced ranges look like so that we know how to recognized ways actual villains are unbalanced to allow us to to maximally exploit them--but for the most part i do the leg work for the viewers and just skip to the "this is how are they unbalanced and this is what we can do about it".

Balance in situations where leaks aren't obvious or may change due to dynamics--in particular high stakes vs regs. In the end it's something that comes up rarely enough and is complicated enough that I never felt there was much reason to make videos of it as i'd rather help as many players make more easy money, rather than mostly helping the high stakes guys who are already doing well for themselves. It is something that I end up focusing a lot on with long term students in my one on one sessions as I do believe it is fundamental to their growth as poker players, but even then we usually start out with the basics of fine tuning a very exploitive approach and only afterwards discuss an approach that doesn't get exploited easily.

Did somebody watch this http://www.husng.com/content/hyper-t...s-video-pack-1?
Is it recommendable for a $60/$100 hyper turbo reg on stars who has already watched chadders vid pack?
Advanced play or basic stuff like chadders' (which I find reaallyyy good).
Also focusing on reg vs reg techniques?

There are some reviews in this thread - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18...ebuts-1293974/

I think somewhere between the two (not too basic, but not all advanced). A lot of videos take place at $100+, vs fish and vs regs. Carryhero does all reg vs reg, Chadders does both, U cnat spel does all fish hunting stuff, Hokie does a mix (some unknowns, some with reads) and Mers reviews student play.

Mers is still working on his.

We also have Hyper Masters II coming soon. 20% of that is complete, and I should get another 20-40% of it turned in this week.

It's hard to say exact dates, this new format keeps me pushing everyone just the same, but instead of having to turn in videos when they aren't necessarily their best, we're getting some better quality work. It lets videomakers be perfectionists, with the sacrifice of consistent output (though given how much content we already have + the consistent free content, I think that's a tradeoff much to the advantage of customers).

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Related to this; does someone knows if a freeware program exists transforming speach in vids into transcripts automatically?

We had an email error that caused us to not receive emails from one of our main email accounts for the last 72 hours. We just noticed this and responded to all of the emails.

Apologies for the delays and thanks for everyone that waited patiently. Not a single person was rude or crazy, despite not receiving an email in the usual 16 hour or less window. Thanks for not making a hectic little night worse.

If we missed an email, please email membership@husng.com or PM me directly.

basically a cross post from NVG but I urge ChicagoRy to take down Hokie Greg's video packs at the website while Greg continues to hard shill for Lock Poker on his Twitter, which I believe is unethical based on the knowledge we have about the company at this time. I hope others here agree.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the concerns. I responded at length in the NVG thread as well.

My history of criticizing Lock, both on 2p2 and on HUSNG.com (the two places this video pack is sold) is very long. Since Black Friday, both publicly and privately to our community.

Given that the pack is sold in two places where I've actively discouraged users from signing up on Lock, I felt that a package that doesn't involve Lock play, Lock discussion, and helps users improve their game in hyper turbos (it's all PT4 reviews, discussion between players and Greg, and powerpoint type slides) would be appropriate to sell to users. Basically, the pack does nothing to further Lock Poker's behavior/new sign ups.

Further, I believe it was late last year, before cashouts got too crazy, I was criticized a lot when I was talking about how Lock had a history of lies and a huge red flag was the 100-150% rakeback they gave the biggest grinders for months last summer. Basically, people responded with "well they've paid out all cashouts to date" and "it doesn't mean they are shady/don't have the funds."

Many other players that I warned of the long trail of Lock Poker lies and shady behavior signed up anyways. Why? They wanted an extra 10-20% of rakeback at the time.

However, at the end of the day, my personal frustration as a long time critic of Lock and my own belief that selling the pack is fine is not going to be the deciding factor.

If our community feels the pack should no longer be sold, I will take that feedback seriously and would be willing to drop the pack. This is the first post I've seen on the subject, and as mentioned before, when I've criticized the site over the last 2 years, I've been met with mostly deaf ears.

IMO, there's also a huge differences between people who follow someone on twitter and people who buy coaching from someone. The latter should be responsible enough not to blindly deposit money on some site simply because their idol plays there. They would either ask Greg whether he can recommend the site or check for references themselves. So no harm could possibly be done.

Omg, I didn't even know about that.

I absolutely don't like the idea of condemning solely because of their choice of employer. Would you tell a friend who's working in the marketing department of a tobacco company that his work is killing people and quit friendship?

It's also debatable whether it'd be a good idea for all Lock Pros to leave as this could prevent fish from depositing, thus sealing Lock's fate.

We haven't done this yet because we haven't seen a large demand.

What language do you speak? We have translated some work in the past.

I'm starting a new blog, and specifically posting about HUSNGs.

Does the site have any add banners I can use, or links I can use to refer people to the site?

i.e If I recommend a specific pack?

Thank you for the reply.

My lanuguage is minor.

Therefore it will be never translated for my language.

However French, Italian, Russian, and more will be helped if there is a English text.

Not only I.

We have some videos translated into Russian.

I'll talk to some video pack authors and see what they feel about adding some subtitles to one or two of the packs on the site. Then we can evaluate if the addition of subtitles would be worthwhile to do on all the packs.
