I'm not sure why I didn't do this before, but I'll be updating this thread with our free content and announcements more regularly from now on.

We've just posted Coffeeyay's Introduction to his upcoming video package, Math in HUSNGs.

I dont understand why the hyper turbo package w/10 videos costs the same w/the premium video pack w/over 800 videos.

Am I missing something?

Hey, not sure if this is the right place to ask but...

I ordered the premium video pack this morning (around 10h ago) and I'm still not able to DL any premium videos. How long does it normally take? PM me if you'd like order # or anything.

Cheers

The previous premium membership was a reoccurring thing that appealed to most any HUSNG player. It had about 10-12 videos from various instructors of premium level in it per month before.

Obviously, to a brand new player, this means the premium membership over time ended up having incredible value. We couldn't really find a good way to protect that value while still offering affordable education and we didn't want to become one of those $500+ price point education sites and have to really take security measures to protect our content fully from sharing, it would've encroached on the user experience (and cut down on users that could afford the videos).

The hyper pack is a little longer than the new premium content members used to be able to get per month, so it did represent a more focused and complete line of content than the new premium content. So for users that had previously purchased the premium membership and seen all the backlog of videos that they wanted, the hyper pack represented a better value (assuming low to mid stakes hyper players) than the premium membership's new videos for the month.

Now that the premium membership is a package of videos, it can still represent a lot of value to players, players that have never seen those videos (or haven't seen them in 3, 6, 12 or more months). But once they've seen those videos at a very affordable entry point for the quality of content, other packs will be likely to appeal to them in order to get the latest, newest and more focused content that we produce.

So the answer isn't entirely simple and there are a few factors, but basically the premium pack was our membership, and along with the standard membership, the previous setup really charged for new videos and previous videos were almost a bonus (probably more like 80% charge new videos, 20% old). So new users did (and still do) get a real bargain on their first purchase on husng.com. That's not a bad thing though from a business perspective, it's easier for hesitant buyers to make a purchase and really see the quality (if they can't see it from our 100+ free videos on youtube).

Your account is all setup now.

For some reason it said pending in our system, but when I logged into paypal, it showed completed.

Sorry about that, and just PM me here or email membership@husng.com if you have any further questions.

Thanks

Account tracking on PokerStars will work within a week. The requirements are 90% ready to have this automated. Just literally a few paragraphs of words the webmaster has to add to the page (I just sent to him 15 minutes ago) and we'll send it to PokerStars for approval and it should be ready to go.

It's basically word for word on what they require, so it shouldn't be any problem.
Am I doing something wrong? I am sure I've raked at least 125$ in October. I have already sent email to PS saying they have my permission to verify my tracking. On 29.10. 2012 they replied "you are indeed tracked to HUSNG.com blah blah..." I have also CC you in that email so there shouldn't be any problem imo.

I am very sorry to keep bothering you with this, but I registered using you as affiliate to receive free membership and I wasn't expecting to wait few months for it...

Sorry for the wait. We had a flood of these because we had about a 3 week period where we couldn't verify our PS signups while we were redoing our page for them to be able to verify the signups again.

Due to the long wait you had to endure I upgraded you to a premium membership. Thanks for the patience.

Hi Ryan.. Is the Chadders0 pack still going to be updated? Any eta on it?

It's still going to be updated. I don't have an ETA, though Chadders has informed me that he's healthy and his regular internet is back, so I'd expect it to be imminent.

Is there a video of showing us how to learn properly, esp. in pt4 as the majority people use that. To see where are we leaking and the most common spots to watch out for and fix them obv.

My recent Math in HUSNGs video pack talks a lot about learning by focusing on the mathematics behind situations and using it to to evaluate spots and maximize your expectation.

In it there is a section on using PT4 to find population tendencies and how to use them to improve both your readless game and the adjustments you make. I don't do any internal self-examination in it--however learning how the population plays and how you can adjust to it is a great approach to leakbusting since it will still help you find places to improve your game both you readless play and how to make better Bayesian adaptations.

This is an external approach to using your database, rather than the classical internal approach of viewing your own results. The benefit of this is that you often don't need as large a sample since it gives you a sense of villains ranges and then you work on your own on how to adjust to them. The classical internal approach can often lead to results oriented thinking since if you go through your database for how you are doing you will simply be viewing your results which can often be misleading--especially when dealing with small samples or when looking at irrelevant parameters.

Despite this, there are definitely reasons to look at your own results. In the future I may do a video on how to examine results especially if there is demand. For now I think that Math in HUSNGs is the only place currently for videos with PT4 database analysis (correct me if I'm wrong on this though Ryan )

I believe you're right Adam. The last big video on PT analysis was Mersenneary's statistical analysis series but I believe that was for PT3.

Just checked on the website, unfortunately it costs 75$ and thats outside my price range, atleast for what i'm looking.
Too bad there isn't a single video out on how to learn "properly", I don't want to waste my time doing reports or finding leaks that won't get me anywhere. Anyway, thx for the answers, maybe when i move up in stakes i'll consider buying it.

Coffeeyay just did a free 28 minute video using his Coffeehud where he goes into PokerTracker 4 and talks about some stats too. You might want to check that one out.

+1 for a video of how to use PT4.
I'm sure a lot of people, like me, only know the basic stuff like filters, reports, etc. It would be great if someone could produce an in depth video on how to use all the nifty features (esp if more relevant to HU play) and also how to analyse your own stats/play/etc. I stress the term 'in depth' as I think enough of us know our general way around the program.

You could release it as a stand alone video or 2 for say $5-10 (depending on effort required, obv I'm not telling you how to run your business) and I think a lot of people would find it very helpful. Just my 2c anyway

I'll see who is available for a PokerTracker 4 mini series.

I'd love for someone like Coffee or Chadders to do that, but the timing for those two is the absolute worst right now. I'll reach out and see who I find that is qualified and interested though.

Today I read somewhere how adjusting to different opponents is the core of being great poker player. I know it sounds so obvious but let me give you some example

From time to time I play this kind of fish with extremely silly pf freq and he is making obv calling or shoving mistakes when it comes to end game but in post flop game I'm being outleveled for some reason, even though I feel like my adjusts are correct to his frequencies he, probably because of some kind of raw talent, good observation skill, maybe some experience, is always one step ahead of me.

I like the fact that I can admit that some recreational player, clearly without any technical knowledge about this game, was able to actually crush me. That helped me realise that there is other type of edge to be gained.

My question is - can you recommened me some videos about thinking out of the box, using small reads to develop bold game plan, not just about abc-ing readless. So far mers is my favourite in this field, incorporating reads based on one sentence in the chat box, making asumptions that help us understand villains mentality based on one showdown . Who else would you advice me to watch?

Skates videos are a little older, but they were always the go to videos for outside the box thinking and sort of "ah, i didn't even think that was an option, and now I can see how it was the best option!" at times.

More recently, Sa1251 really has a great ability in postflop play. Check some of his videos out.

Ucnatspel (coffeenciggz) and Shortsharpshock (carryhero) are two other recent ones people highly recommend.
