Has anyone tried them?

The format is WTA on normal rolls but on higher rolls second or more places are paid. So suddenly there is some ICM to adjust for.

The standard is bad but I think this may be because it is so rec orientated. After 5minutes play everyone is all in every hand. You only have 5 minutes to press your edge and some fish even tank out towards the end to deliberately go with no edges.

I'm not sure the format allows the pressing of edges sufficiently to grind them especially as you realize the rakeback is rather poor.

The format is fun and there seam to be no decent regs but this could of course be for very good reason.

Would only play them with a decent promotion tbh. Also it looks to me like 888 poker is becoming more and more like a casino geared entirely towards recs.

At the end of August, some Russian looked up everyone who had played 200+ $5+ games at a results site and stated that almost all of them had ROIs ranging between -20% and -2%.

$5+ Blast doesn't seem beatable without a custom HUD and a serious attitude.

888 have done a great job if they intended to make a spin like format that's going to be really popular with recs.
Think ill leave them alone the whole clock thing is a killer for me. Without the clock I would really like the 4man WTA and also more payout positions on roll ups.

Ryan, is your HUD tailored to Blast or to Stars Spins? Spin HUDs obviously don't work perfectly here (neither do 6-max hyper HUDs that do account for CO stats), I was talking a Blast-specific HUD that separates stats from 2x and 5x games (as PT4 apparently doesn't record the prize pool size for Blast into the DB, some PostgreSQL voodoo is required that I'm yet too lazy to do, and the technology will obviously be available to myself only).

Edit: I got your joke too late - indeed, if one cares at all about getting a custom HUD, then one of course automatically has a serious attitude already.

It depends on the stakes... it probably works decently in $1 and can't be improved by much there because lineups aren't repetitive, but it looks too basic vs frequently (much more often than Stars - 888's pool is much smaller) encountered $15 players. I mean, if you have a sample of dozens of games on a reg, it pays off to study him in more detail.

Here are the stats of perhaps the best $5 reg, though.

This is a hot ITM - the average ITM of the field is 36.66% by definition in $5 Blast games and 37.20% in $15 games - the number of paid places varies randomly, usually between 1 (57%/55% of games) and 2 (38%/41% of games, with a 70/30 prize split). The reg might be a woman, at least that's what the SN suggests.
