So villain has 44 % ISO (16/36) and 33 % cbet in ISO (1/3).

How would you play this spot and why?

My thinking is, that he can be super wide with his preflop minraise.

And then otf I am quite lost. Just call his raise? Or maybe just check the flop and go from there would work, too. I need to protect my checking range, too.

Ok, so betting better Jx and checking these weaker ones would work prolly...

What about as played? I still see a plenty of value against his overcards, possibly low PPs, GS, SPs.

Id never ever check flop here, also Id pot it, than obv calling raises, but as played, idk, Id go with all stats/notes I have, seems like you have some hands on him.

If I cant see guy is aggressive, Id fold flop, I just cant see someone on a passive side having here anything worse, also if he is not using 2x iso size, than Im snapfolding vs this line basically almost vs anyone.

100 % agree. I played it like a fish, because I didn't think it through.

Obv villain had AA (well, it was not obvious for me at the time).

Thank you for the input.

Edit: what's the reasoning behind the pot sizing? Do you want to fold out his overs, or do you also think, that people will spew more vs bigger sizing?

Besides betting for value, because of hands like AK, AQ, AT, some people will spew and shove those, some will call and if they fold I dont mind.

I like bet size on flop since it keeps in more random high cards and random flopped weak pairs. Given the raise, villain's range gets very narrowed towards overpairs or stronger so either just fold or flat intending to fold later (but hoping to either hit 2p/trips or having then give up). In my experience the min iso preflop is actually quite polar between nuts--especially AA/KK--and something like a top 80% range. So given villain's action the polarization is broken and ends up with mostly nuts so you can exploitively get away quite easily. It's actually a spot where I would expect a large % of folds (so that makes the times they x/r even more super value heavy)--but it's still fine to vbet since there are still random 9x,2x, and Ax to get value from in that top 80% part of the polarization (and the AA/KK part often bets flop--but obv if it doesn't then it's to x/r lol).
