    Poker Stars, $6.71 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (BB): 1,430 (47.7 bb)
    SB: 1,570 (52.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 2
SB raises to 60, Hero raises to 150, SB calls 90

    Flop: (300) 3 T A (2 players)
Hero bets 180, SB calls 180

    Turn: (660) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets 390, SB calls 390

    River: (1,440) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets 710 and is all-in, SB calls 710

Wondering if I overplayed this with TP worst kicker, and with the stacks still deep.
My thinking street by street was:
Pre Flop - OOP with a strong hand. Happy to put in a big raise and try and end it here.
Flop - My only read so far was that villain had folded 4/4 C-bets. I wanted to throw one in here with a genuine hand. A couple of my others had been with air.
Turn - Pretty much a blank. Betting for value
River - Same and pot committed.

    Any thoughts?

The 3 bet with A rag is just terrible, this is not a strong hand. You need to have a serious look at you 3 bet ranges. Have a look at the Merc. book for advice on constructing a range.

In fact I think not 3! the ace is terrible. Villain is probably opening any broadway, mid and high connectors/suited. Haven't got stove to hand but pretty sure PF I'm ahead of his range. Flatting or folding here is awful

3 betting is terrible, you dominate nothing, if an Ace flops you aren't going to get value and if you do it's going to be against a better Ace, if you think flatting is terrible you have a lot of issues, go to husng.com

I agree with flatting pre. With a 3bet you are kind of turning your hand into a bluff, you'll get called but a range that has great equity vs you (even a 40% range has > 50% equity vs A2). But that's only part of the reason.

My standard line on this board would be very transparent. Flat pre, check-call the flop, on this turn we're unlikely to face a bet from worse so I would lead half pot and I would also lead the river.

As played, cbet is OK even though I prefer smaller. On the turn you want to keep his lower pairs and broadways in the hand so I would bet smaller there for sure. 150 on the flop, 250 into 600 on the turn which leaves 850 effective for the river.

The river can go any way. Bet-fold is fine vs some, check-fold vs others, check-call vs an aggro villain.
