22 hands into game. Villain has been minraising only. Had 5 hands, where he minraised my c-bets, you can see that on flopcheckraise%. I did 3bet-or-fold to his minraises preflop.

Villain stats:

Poker Stars, $6 + $0.25 NL Hold'em Tournament, 10/20 Blinds, 2 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): 1,550
BTN: 1,450

Pre-Flop: (30) 6 2 dealt to Hero (BB)
BTN raises to 40, Hero raises to 160, BTN calls 120

Flop: (320) 7 4 J (2 Players)
Hero bets 160, BTN raises to 360, Hero raises to 1,390 and is All-In,

Spoiler:
BTN calls 930 and is All-In

Turn: (2,900) J (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

River: (2,900) 4 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 2,900 Pot
Hero showed 6 2 and WON 2,900 (+1,470 NET)
BTN showed 2 7 and LOST (-1,440 NET)

fail. fold pre since you're new, when you get better you can call anything here pre, don't raise. as played, flat raise not expecting to have fold E quity. if you had called pre you could c/c or c/r depending on pretty much everything.

I usually just dump it as you say against aggressive villains, against a villain who's passive post, I will call mostly and take your suggested actions.

Just wondering then, when do you 3bet minraiser's? I mean, if the guy opens 100% minraise, I usually pop him up, with something like K8s+, A7s+, and call with others. What about in later blind levels, when the eff'stacks are in 30-40?

I don't 3bet minraisers hardly ever. I call and play postflop. Look at board texture and try to figure out how he would play the different hands like "top pair on the flop", "a set", " a draw", "air". Once you have an idea of how he would play those hands, compare that to what he did throughout the hand and see what hands it makes sense for. Also pay atttention to what your hand looks like when you just call the flop, don't lead, c/r, ect. Use the relative information to determine how to continue in the hand based on your hands strength and how you can extract the most money from what his hand looks like, or get away if you are probably beaten.

Why wouldn't you expect any fold equity? OP's read was that villain did this minraise 5 times already against his cbets. Villain can have enough air or mediocre hands imo, and when you 3bet with 62hh, a flush draw board is a pretty damn good flop to get it in.

I'd wait for a hand with more equity to 3bet.

Flop play is std
