Villain seemed pretty straightforward TAG. We didn't go to a ton of showdowns. I've been a little more active, raising a few more of my buttons and mixing up my 3bet range which he never flatted. He c/r'd my one of my cont bets on an A hi board and I folded. So I have literally 0 showdown info and 2 river decisions.

Hand 1 - b/f? c/c? b/c?

Hand 2 - is there any value in putting in a small raise?

Comments on all streets welcome bc I've been getting back in the game after a year off and I don't remember how to play cards anymore.

Oh, and Villain was from Spain and his avatar had him holding a beer (brand and volume unidentifiable, but i'd put the range at import to microlocal, 16-24oz).

#1 wp.

#2 I actually like a smallish raise/fold here. I think he can call with lot of worse hands(Ax,Jx,87 type hands etc) but will only shove better.

yeah i popped to 360 in hand 2 planning to fold to a shove.

trying to bet/fold a little more and plug that "hopeful call" leak but i don't know if it makes sense given stack sizes?

most people won't 3bet low 2 pair hands in hand #2 so raise/folding should be your best option.

Hand 1 I'd call I find that people spazz here a lot. Especially if they feel like you have been aggressive/pushing them around which i'm not sure if that is true. Also, I feel like most people would shove hands like KJ. Also, straight forward tags don't usually have the better two pairs in their range here, except maybe QT.

Edit:: and he is from spain

Hand 2 I agree raise folding is best.

People dont usually spazz out much on the river. You overestimate the "pushing around" part.

are you just trying to valuetown a random 7 with that bet or charge his flush/gutstraight outs?

125 does the former well but not the latter, right?

and a good part of his range still has us crushed.

truth. but all it takes is a handful of times where you do get pushed around in that spot and suddenly you're a certified paranoid obsessive river caller for weeks.
