3.5:1 for backdoor trips is a pretty good price SSS

I don't understand why everyone saying this is a "mandatory 3bet"? You can go either way.

More importantly the river is an easy c/f.

Ok let me clarify, arguing that because he's folding a lot to 3bet means that you should 3bet KJ is illogical. You should have a wide 3betting range, but KJ is a much better hand to go into your preflop calling range. rring a hand like KJ basically is playing into his strategy against 3bets.

it's not illogical if our EV of 3betting is higher than our EV of calling with our exact hand, but i'm mostly just playing devil's advocate, cause i'm probably calling against someone as good as ike.

He means read the thread because "everybody says 3betting pre is mandatory" and "people are arguing because he's folding a lot to 3bet means that you should 3bet KJ" are not present in the thread if you'd read it again. I'm the only one who said 3bet pre for sure, the majority of people have been arguing against it, and my argument was mainly that folding out the middling stuff doesn't make that big of a difference and ike raises the button enough that monsters and dominated but not calling a 3bet hands aren't a big enough part of his range when compared against the rest of it which 3betting does better against.

Would you 3bet slightly smaller (like 160-170) to try and keep more K9-type hands in, since he's folding his junk anyway?

+1 on smaller flop sizing. I'd actually like this sizing if you had complete air with image and all, since people play back way less often against big c/r's.
Turn i'd check with that sizing, bet if c/r size was smaller, like 160. River think its an easy c/f imo.

Agreed with turn. You're not barreling much, and if you do, you're going for three, so as played shove river, or I guess be a wimp and c/f. From STs, he actually seems to peel/float a lot though, which goes against the reads presented here, but STs are a different animal so whatever.
