Early in the match, Villain looks tight-passive, but not 100% sure
Is too spewy to call here??

I expect to see Kx a bunch of times here but he could do this occasionally with a flopped flush to get you to overcall with your top pair, or two pair.

Really opponent dependent but tbh I'm probably calling and then feel really bad/stupid when he shows me a flush, set, higher 2 pair... idk

wait you mean villain or hero? confused.

but yeah this hand is pretty standard. I like to get little $ as possible in the flop and then get a lot of money by turn because if they have a draw, they have less equity in the hand now overall. I'd call this and chalk it up to variance if I lose

also how can villain be tight passive after making huge overbet on turn like this? I'd expect such a player if tight-passive to be betting more pot sized if he had a made flush rather than overbetting unless he's really leveling us...

If you think villain is tight-passive, why limp preflop? Aren`t these opponents optimal to minraise every button? On the turn I would probably fold with these reads.

yes and no, its pretty early in the match, and I don't want to force Villain to adjust by constantly attacking his BBs, I want to be able to exploit his tightness throughout the match, therefore I was limping and raising on a 50 - 50 basis.

PS: Yes Cog D is my coach

i ment if doc had raised the min raise on the flop. i think he made a really good call in this spot and i think it would be a big spew to play for stacks here vs this player in a limped pot.

i expect this to be Kx pretty close to 100% he might have 2 pairs but his range is mostly Kx imo and if he shows up with a flush or something then nh imo but im snapping this off and feeling good about it

I lack the experience of other posters here, but this was a flush the last time I snapped in this spot, and I don't think I've seen this very often. Villain was not tight passive at all, however (he was Italian).
