OK so I sat this villain with no previous history. Villain limped 80% otb. Villain was also a fan of the min bet on all streets (betting 30 into 270 for example.) I had broke the villain down and now just needed to finish him. Is this a good call?

Poker Stars $5.00+$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter By DeucesCracked Poker Videos

BB: t913 30.43 BBs
Hero (BTN/SB): t2087 69.57 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN/SB with 3 T
Hero raises to t60, BB raises to t90, Hero calls t30

Flop: (t180) 2 5 3 (2 players)
BB bets t90, Hero raises to t1997 all in, BB calls t733 all in

Turn: (t1826) 7 (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t1826) A (2 players - 2 are all in)

Spoiler:
Final Pot: t1826
BB shows Jd Ad (a pair of Aces)
Hero shows 3h Th (a pair of Threes)
BB wins t1826

So the villain sucks out on the river, although from his point of view is it a call post flop with just AJ high? I wouldn't call this if I were villain.

So yeah back to square one and were battling it out. And then this happens:

BTN/SB: t1421 47.37 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BB with A 9

Flop: (t120) A A K (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t120, Hero calls t120

Turn: (t360) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t360, Hero raises to t720, BTN/SB raises to t1241 all in, Hero calls t521

River: (t2842) 3 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Spoiler:
Final Pot: t2842
BTN/SB shows 9h 9d (a flush, Ace high)
Hero shows Ah 9c (three of a kind, Aces)
BTN/SB wins t2842

I know everyone gets beat from time to time after they get it in with the nuts, however, does this happen to anyone all the time? It seems no matter what I always get shafted on the river whilst playing on PokerStars.

Comments appreciated cheers.

I think your shove on the first hand is pretty horrible mate - but bizarrely you were called by worse. 99% of the time you probably won't be.

2nd hand is kinda standard but you've still gotta get it in there.

and yes, it happens to everyone - it's part of the game.

ps. in before flaming.

1st hand - meh, usually players on these limits will call you there with A high, but not all. I would call there and reevaluate the turn...they are rarely going to 2nd barell with air
you only have 44% equity vs his calling range

Equity Win Tie

MP3 44.19% 42.96% 1.23% Th3h

2nd hand - i raise the flop, as played shove turn

Cheers for the replys. The reason I shove the first hand is that when he 3 bets pre flop I just think he connects with 235r board so infrequently. Ofcourse any pocket pair beats me but I was a little tilted so yeah I got it in. Was expecting a fold tbh. Wixmonster, what do you mean by 'ps. In before flaming'?
