$5 $1million spins V $7 Spins

I normally play $7 Spins but at the moment there are special $5 Spins with a $1 million jackpot.
Beyond the point that if you win a 2x you only win $10 not $14 etc.,what is the downside (if any) to playing the $5s rather than the $7s on this basis ? Is there some redistribution of the prize pool/multipliers to make other aspects of the prize pool less favourable (as I assume) to allow that jackpot to be achievable ?
I guess another factor is the nature of reg/rec traffic when this type of promotion comes about.I would guess the recs are drawn to the high top line prize but does anyone have any actual figures to show the breakdowns in this compared to normal games ?
In short, it is worth switching from my normal 7s to 5s during the duration of this promotion given the vanishingly slim chance of winning the jackpot :are there other factors that make it worthwhile or is it a sucker bet ?
Cheers

The rake is higher so the prize distribution will change slightly, as well to accomodate the 1 mil prize. If you can multitable you should consider adding tables and achieve a similar ROI as 7s due to the increased rec ratio. So is probably worth it since it's only a temporary thing.

If i remember correct the chance of hitting the million is 1:10,000,000 on 5$ and on 7$ it is 1:1,000,000
So i would continue to play 7$ if you are beating that limit becuase you have a way higher $ pr hourly, than spending time on 5$ games were the rake is significant higher.

Even if the rake was lower on the 5$ i think you would have a higher hourly rate on the 7$ spins. If the rake was 6% on the 5s and you had 5 chipev more than the 7s then you would make pretty much the same at both stakes assuming you are playing the same amount of tables.(I used swong sim for that). Since the rake is higher i wouldnt bother playing them.
