I'm not sure how i feel about yaqh casually slipping onto the jackoneill wagon...

tbh I'm almost starting to second guess myself about jackoneill, I went back and read his posts and while they do look really suspicious to me, I'm thinking he might actually just be an inexperienced villager, but his posts still seem shady.

My list of suspects so far would probably include: jackoneill, filthy, yaqh, and anyone who hasn't posted yet.

this is a villagery thing to do, fwiw. Wolves don't go against the grain.

Also, i'm at work atm and have to sneak in my posts/browsing. If something seem sporatic or weird that's probably why.

I also think it's weird that you picked the only non-vil post I have in the whole thread and use it to implicate me as wolfy after I voted for you.

I had 2 arguments for filthy: (some ppl seem to have more)
1) Drawing attention on the seers, while stating (so knowing) it's bad to draw attention to them
2) He has maybe the most experience and that's known. So if he's a villager, good chance the wolves will kill him. If he's a wolf, I'd like him out asap.
Second is more an argument to "take the risk and kill him", than something really pointing into the direction of him actually being a wolf.

But I disregards those arguments for now, and trust my gut-feeling to

Difficult to rationally state why, but there's just something in his (mostly) earliest posts that "sounds" more wolf than villager.

After reading the post I see how filthy would be a great asset if he is kept alive. Will wait to cast another vote since it seems that there are some people who have yet to post.

idk tbh i imagine that if he was a wolf and legitimately just wanted an answer to this question, he'd ask another wolf. so, if hes a wolf and asked itt anyway, it'd have to be b/c he thought it looked villagery. i dont see why he'd think that, but could be.

so it doesnt really make sense that he'd say this if he were a wolf. otoh, it doesnt make much sense to say as a villager either, so w/e.

im pretty sure there's no such thing as vampire in this game, so why does he keep going on about this?

ok so if there was anything i learned from AoN last time i played this, it was that there's a lot to be said for wolfs just blabbering and repeating the same nonsensical arguments over and over. esp since most others werent paying too close attention to the game, just filling up page after page with stuff that sounded reasonable but made no sense if you actually thought about it worked really well for him.

so we should watch out for people who are talking in order to appear to be contributing/making sense but are really just trying to distract from the real issues.

yaqh jumps to my villager list, people willing to write a lot and post significant analysis on day one tend to be villagers. wolves, especially less experienced wolves, want to piggypack, post short, edited bits of strategy, and blend in.

While the best players/thinkers will be night kill targets at some point, I expect wolves to mostly try to hunt for the seers early on. I would be surprised to die within the first few nights, but if I'm alive in the second half of the game, it's either because I'm cleared by a seer or angels are saving me.

To the newbies: Here's one thing I didn't realize about this game at first (it's a basic point, but I didn't get it at first). If you're a villager with no special powers, and the wolves kill you at night, this is GREAT. You've done well. Don't do anything because you "don't want to get killed at night" - that's being selfish wanting to stay in the game. As a plain villager your goals are to not get killed by the village, to pick the right people to vote for, and to get the wolves to kill you.

Definitely agree with this - I really liked this detailed analysis he did about me.

So what's the story with coffee ? A lot of people voted against him, but I still don't fully understand why.

The best way to get wolves to kill you as a plain villager are:

1) Make a clear claim about who your most likely villager is. It will make you look like a seer who is trying to let people know what information you have. Moreso, if you get killed after posting something like this, we get information that the person you called a villager probably is one. That's really helpful.
2) Be right when you vote, read the thread, post good, detailed analysis, look super competent. This makes you a possible seer because you seem to know things about people, and also just makes you a pain.

If you're a seer, try to make it clear what information you have without giving away who you are. When you die, it will be announced that you're a seer. In general, it's good if people can go back and figure out what information you might have had. But you really don't want to be obvious at the time because staying alive is your other biggest priority.

To edit 1), I meant "most likely villager or wolf".

apparently i made wolfish sounding first posts. i was then accused of being a wolf and defended myself. this then led to the argument that i was trying too hard to defend myself and therefore must be a wolf. I then (according to other posters) proceeded to make villagery posts, but since i had made wolfy posts earlier this meant that i had adjusted and so it meant i had to be a wolf. and then inactive posters agreed that i was a wolf because i had been active and voted for people, or they had gut feelings, or whatever else and jumped on the bandwagon.


also as an addendum, after rereading the thread i think i have my final vote for the night. I might not be around or able to post later so

It feels silly to start a new bandwagon, but his posts are short, always reference other people's arguments, and jump onto bandwagons around votes 3-5 which just SCREAMS wolf to me. Hopefully i'll have time later tonight to do more detailed analysis, but maybe in the meantime someone can reread his posts and see if they see the same things.

Just finished reading through the whole thread and was leaning towards jack being a wolf until I read yaqh's post but still think he can be a wolf. Still don't know who I'm gonna vote but can't really pick up on who's a wolf/villager too well so will definitely wait a little longer.

who was the guy who mentioned angeling me? i think that was villagery. i don't mean to say that it's a good idea for the angel to protect me tonight. i think the angel should decide on his own who to protect, probably not me though. but maybe.

i just don't think a wolf would be talking about who the angel would protect night 1
