O shi thread up. Would just like to start off by saying that in my defense I live in/am staying in Thailand, which is like completely opposite of USeast time zones so any strange patterns of activity comes from that.

Anyhow Hookt was the one who linked me to this game so until further notice i'll give him my vote.

vote hookt

I was thinking it would be a good idea to start lynching inactive people at first since they do not do us any good anyway, but as long as maruchan takes care of them himself I guess thats waste of voting.

seers please read the strategy guide. it's crucial to the village that the seers play well and stay hidden.

generally it's bad to talk too much about the seers because its almost the only info in the game the wolves do not have. they are desperate to find the seers.

if you are a seer and you have a question about something you should ask the mod in a pm.

you should be peeking people you think will stay alive. peeking a player who dies is a waste.

No, I am glad you posted the link, just seems odd that you get votes against you and then you have a post about helping others. So essentially "you're helping the village to hide your bloodthirsty wolfself"

fwiw filthy is experienced so it's pretty bad for us to lynch him since experienced villagers are extremely important to keep alive.

i agree w/ this and i'd add that the seer might want to consider saving filthy as he's likely to be a target for the wolves.

elaborating since i'm not on my phone anymore. The first comment seemed forced and kinda awkward. Then the second comment was that he knows it's wolfy to lay low, which explains why he would make the first comment. That said, if he's active I don't see a reason to lynch him yet.

i hope you can see how it's not a good strategy to kill off helpful villagers

if i live past the halfway point in the game, my role should be pretty clear. if i am not a very clear villager by the end of the game then i should totally be killed.

i won't be here for eod(end of day). i am flying from ny to sf tonight. but i will be sure to post all my reads at some point before night. 1st days reads aren't all that great though.

mers is scary. but he's a bad lynch. he can do much more damage to the wolves than to the village potentially. we should keep him around and give him a chance. i think he is like me in that his role should be very clear later in the game. if he is not a pretty clear villager then he should be killed at some point after the halfway mark

:/ i'm a villager--but hey at least you don't want to lynch me now

lynching mersenneary seems bad for the same reason as filthy--he's experienced and an important asset to the villagers. yes he'd be an asset to the wolves, but that being said he would be even more useful to the villagers and statistically more likely to be a villager. lynching him is very -EV IMO. In the previous game he was night killed d1 because the wolves were so afraid of him.

I don't want him lynched, I want him defending himself by wolf hunting asap.

the way the poggers play is that villagers(and wolves) leave "seer cover". they leave fake peeks. so its hard for the wolves to seer hunt.

the wolves kill off people they think are seers because of the posts they made indicating who they might have peeked.

that means that information in the posts of the players who were killed by the wolves is often accurate.

so whoever gets killed by the wolves tonight, the next day the village goes over that persons posts looking for reasons why the wolves killed him.

seems like it would be not a good idea to vote off heavy posters from the start since in the long run we would be more likely to find out their true role since they are giving more information out, so i think filthy may be a bad vote.

Agreeing with this. I am kind of torn on the whole keeping experienced players for the good of the village though, I assume experience is just as good to have for wolves, as it is for the village, just in different ways.

waiting a bit and seeing who is inactive and is likely to be inactive throughout the entire thread is probably still my best bet for a first day vote, even if the OP removes them eventually. If he replaces someone for inactivity a few days in, then we get a new person with somewhat of a blank slate assuming which is better for wolves than for villagers anyway. if y'all catch my drift?

it's almost a sure thing that there will be several inactive players today, some without even a single post most likely. they probably won't get voted off today. it's hard to get a bunch of people to agree to vote off someone who hasn't posted. but that's ok because today is probably better to vote off someone who was at least a little active. there will hopefully be a wolf who slips up and acts too wolfy. and if not it's good to have reasons for voting someone that we can analyze, instead of just random guesses at people who didn't post.

Reason is because I think Earl is a wolf (obv) and I think filthy is suspicious. They both voted for me even though some thought I was an obvious villager. My vote on filthy was mostly to counter his vote and make him as voted as me.
