Only played about ten hands so far. He seems good.

Flop and turn are standard. On the river though, overpairs and Qx hands beat us. But a ton of draws missed and it looks like I'm just giving up. What do you think?

gross spot, I call, because the average semi-competent $33 player hates checking behind missed draws on river in larger pots and bluffs in more spots than they actually have something. I think he is *very* rarely value betting Qx here, so there are very few value hands he has here imo.

i think this is quite the wrong way of thinking a 6 also beats him, and he has no real kicker for his 9 since it doesnt play (if im not mistaking)

iow board is Q9668 and only thing he really beats is 8x or Air so it isnt like u can say '' its not like any villain shove Qx there " because there is ALOT more that beats OP next to Qx even better nines even if he is shoving to get a Q to fold (kinda unrealistic imo) then he can still have a 9 with a better kicker like K9

Getting 2-to-1, villain has to be bluffing more than 1/3 of the time for the call to be +EV, but it seems unlikely here imo since hero has shown much strength on the turn.

Btw, op, not "a ton" of draws have missed; only the flush draw. JT, T7, 75 got there on the turn.

w/o any reads im probably folding this on river. I probably lead this turn although c/c i think would be fine rather than check/raising because there are so many bad river cards if villain flats our check/raise. check/raising just puts us in a ton of bad spots.

you'll get value when they bluff river and there's ton to miss and tons to bluff
