Villain is losing over a small sample. Very tight OOP with two calls and six 3bets. He 2x's something like 65-70% IP and folding the rest. At the 25/50 level he 2x'd 46o. He's cbetting most flops, with a few check backs, once with random air and two times with Ace or King high. He always cbets 1/2. He has double barreled only once, no showdown. He didn't double barrel Q93T with 78. A few hands before this at the same blinds I made my first c/r to t300 and he folded. He was ahead the whole match before recently after I won some pots. That + the recent c/r might make him spew call the flop light idk?

Poker Stars $33.00+$1.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t25/t50 Blinds - 2 players

Hero (BB): t1790 35.80 BBs
BTN/SB: t1210 24.20 BBs

Pre Flop: (t75) Hero is BB with 9 J
BTN/SB raises to t100, Hero calls t50

Flop: (t200) 4 9 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t100, Hero raises to t300, BTN/SB calls t200

I guess c/r is best, but I'm not sure...

Turn: (t800) Q (2 players)
Hero bets t350, BTN/SB calls t350

I was bet/folding this turn. Can't see him shoving over with anything I beat.

River: (t1500) 4 (2 players)
Hero ???

check/call? check/fold? Shove for value from 9x, middle pocket pairs?

I think I like a c/c. Blocking here doesn't seem too necessary. If we three barrel not much that is behind calls given description. I think we just end up vtowning ourselves against Queens he caught on a FD, or hight pairs that he would cbh. 10's J's

It is a pretty ******ed way for him to play the hand unless he has the nuts and is trapping. River as played is a c/f. No one in their right mind would be bluffing 1/3 pot AI on the river hoping to have some sort of FE. If he bluffs river make note and sit him all day long and print money. You are getting great odds but are you good 20% of the time if he shoves into you?

sometimes i just flat the flop, but only if opponent has a reason to check alot of his trash hands behind. however, i don't like playing 3 streets on this board, so when i decide to c/r, i make it 350 and shove good turns.

How about check/call flop and min-checkraise turn as a blocking bet to prevent him from betting the river??

Doesnt he have a psb on turn? Why would he float Qx here? Im jamming turn if stacks are set up for it.

Edit: I dont mean Qx wont ever be in his range but its def not in it as much as Ax/Kx and the stuff that connects to flop.

How are those calling a shove?

I dont know, but they do. 88 looks so good here, they are affraid of 9x, but after turn second barrel they dont believe us anymore and cannot fold. Thats the way losing players think and call you down.

c/f makes no sense.

c/c

So are you calling a shove when you c/c?

usually just lurk these things without saying much but felt bad for OP.

just c/r flop to an amount that leaves PSB to shove turn. yes c/r flop is best given reads and please don't b/f turn.

do whatever you want now but just don't fold.

and either it's way too late or multiple people fail at reading the HH, but shoving river for value from 9x? 'we only beat worse 9x'?

Haha this, I was like wtf reading the replies (we chop at best vs any 9).

Turn shove is exactly one psb so you have to go for it at that point.

I either ship or bet/call the turn. on the river, as played, i like shipping. at this point he's not folding any piece of the board.

either ship the turn or c/r the turn.

villain definetily dont have Q in his range. I think you should bet the river quite thin for value from worst hands
