Pretty SF villain, a bit loose but not that loose that I can see him have many 2pair+ here. And 54 seems a bit loose aswell. Expect that hand to mincr instead.

Cant see many bluffs/value hands here. The board didnt change. Do I have to call river as played?

1st hand: I would call, we basically have TPGK.

2nd hand: Yeah, it's a sad situation. But given the odds you just can't fold.

I don't play that big but: I think your small turnbet induces a lot. Is check-back turn bad? As played i guess he rarely bluffs in that spot. I'd fold.

I'd call both and play both the same as u. I'd expect to c worse 8's a lot in first hand and chop the second a decent amount.

Hand 1: I think you can bet less on flop. As played, I eyeroll and call although you could check back turn and bluff catch on the river.

Hand 2: Was this guy 3betting you a lot? If not, I think you could still min raise this pre. As played just call, he could have hands like 43dd or 84o, although "slowplayed" Ax or 44 makes some sense. Once again, reads on his preflop tendency would help.

Rule out 44 imo this is so unlikely

Doesn't really matter because there's only 3 combos of that.
