Hero (SB): 500 (25 bb)
BB: 500 (25 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 Q
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) K 8 Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB raises to 80, Hero calls 40

Turn: (240) 7 (2 players)
BB bets 100

Turn looks very nutty, isnt it? What range do you expect villain has on avg?

I wouldnt say it's nutty at all, quite the opposite, many villains will c/r a draw here. If you were in villains shoes, do you really c/r KQ K8 type hands with a minr here? and then bet less than half pot on the turn? imo it definitely looks like he has a draw, and I'd be calling turn and any black river, and would have to think more on heart/J rivers depending on sizing.

I would not cbet this flop, especially because you have the Qh. Our Equity against his range doesn't change so much in any turn. On the other hand there is no 3 streets value in it.
As played I dont know.

^ not cbetting the flop is a huge mistake imo

Yep, cbetting the flop looks good for me too because I think we are not going to get raised that often on that kind of board from draws. We get value from so many draws as well as from flushdraws, gutshorts, 8x, worse Qx, which we give free equity and against better hands we have to call the turn anyway if villain leads the turn. If villain check-calls the flop we are ableto even valuebet the turn. The interesting part is what kind of hands are check-raising next to Kx on the flop? What is our plan on the turn against a check-raise?

Weird hand? Looks like a fishy value line villains is taking here.
But it's hard to know what villain has when u have no reads on him

He could bet checkraising 2pair+ (even AA or KK) on this bord and then leeching your weak range for value on the turn.
Yeah he could occasionally take this line with a spew hand or occasionally with a draw but i think most players dont take this line with a weak flushdraw considering K and Q could easily have hit your hand.

I'd say if you don't have any reads on villain yet give up on the turn and make a note, you're probably beat too often here even though his betsizing for a valuehand doesnt make much sense
