SB: 500.00
Hero (BB): 500.00

SB posts SB 10.00, Hero posts BB 20.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 30.00) Hero has 8 J

SB raises to 40.00, Hero calls 20.00

Flop: (80.00, 2 players) 7 J 3
Hero checks, SB bets 40.00, Hero raises to 95.00, SB raises to 220.00, Hero calls 125.00

Turn: (520.00, 2 players) 4
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (520.00, 2 players) 2
Hero checks, SB bets 240.00 and is all-in, Hero calls 240.00 and is all-in

I made small c/raise on this dry board to induce raise because this villain is capable of doing it.
So he raises, I am sure he doesnt have flushdraws as he would jam it.

Jam and take pot down or call and check turn and let him bluff.
In second scenario if he decides to check turn I give him 2 free cads to improve.

I would shove flop, but if you call checking turn is bad, why would you let all possible draws see the river for free. You cant fold to his bet anyway.

I would shove as well, he isnt folding, also you are out of position.

why do you think he is not folding?
All reasonable equity he jams otf, why would he make such small raise with his flushdraw?

He is folding all his air which he has here very offten, he had here 1 over, I think he is folding if to flop jam, it just happened he caught runner straight, this is why I am asking if I should check or jam and fold out all his air, I can get more when he bluffs turn or river but also I am giving free cards to overs or some runners and risk more losing.

he needs only 24% so even A hi isnt folding

hmmm calling would make more sense if you were in position imo because you could gii on turn regardless what he does

As played, i would probably lead the turn (unless you have reads of him always jamming his draws OTF), as we don't want to give him a free card OTR.

I would gii OTF though, we're OOP w/ top pair, and so we're in a wierd spot on most turns (overcards, drawy cards), and we're ahead of his range OTF (i assume).

given reads: I'd shove flop if he's any good. If he's bad I'd flat and call turn/river.

I expect a good player to realize he has little to no FE at any point later in the hand, so he will check down and try to realize his equity. Jamming on him since he gets my stack w/ better hands anyways and we don't want him drawing for free.

A bad player who you have reads on that he will 3b here, is going to be a maniac. Our reads also tell us he's fairly polarized to air and made hands. Let him bluff his air. instead of shoving him out of the hand.

I would have shoved over his cbet instead of the smaller 3 bet. This because:
I don't want to see an overcard on the turn or river
I want to realize my equity now
I think our hand will look weaker to him
He is not folding his FD anyways

(it sucks when he shows the overpair)

Just jam over his 3bet. No way he is folding on that particular board, since your range is heavily equity driven and 3bet bluffing would be terribad. Why complicate things?

And i don't get at all why theres so many responses this hand is nobrainer.
