I think that was the best way to play this hand.

id prolly cbet smaller with my entire range because of how dry this board is. as played villain reps such an uberthin value range that i think his range is much more weighted towards airballs when he cib otf. in 3b pots i don't even see people cib here with AT, so id rather call his raise otf than 3b it. the point is, u are gonna get in more bets against Ax and better (the top of his range) either way, the goal should be to keep his range for continuing as wide as possible and u just narrow his range down drastically by 3bing. keep his bluffs in, theres not a single turn/river card that u can't continue on with these stacks anyway.

*** david i think u are right... if i ship o will throw out all his bluffs and Ax hands worse than my AK... So its better value for me thats he will bet all streets yep?

His post flop play is pretty terrible, but I think you played it fine. If you call though I would donk the turn.

exactly what i though, if you just flat his raise and check turn he basically bought himself super cheap equity and potcontrol, so we should definitely donk turns after. or just jam it in on flop

Calling the flop with the intention of donking every turn is a very strange plan. The only difference with 3betting the flop is that you let him realize some equity for free. Maybe against a very specific player that raises polar on the flop , gives up on the turn with all his blufs , but will call down if he turns a pair and you donkbet it could be best too take this line. But fundamentally 3betting flop> Call and donk every turn

@OP i call flop and hope he continues bluffing.

Yeah I agree it's strange but villain's raise is strange too. In my experience villains are very unlikely to continue bluffing once you call on THIS flop.

I don't think we lose "induce value" if we just donk out turn small, and we wouldn't lose value vs a hand like 97 which decided to play this way.
