    because this board frequently gets checked behind by his overcard type hands which might have 6 outs+backdoors and can play pretty well against us ott.

    If villain is passive, I see your point. But OP says he's not passive anymore, given that, I don't think villain is checking back flop on this board, he's usually cbetting.

    villain is unknown and in my experience this will get checked back alot, no?

    he raised 3x, usually that leads to a cbet on these type boards in my experience, even vs. unknown. If he minraised, perhaps I see this checked back a lot (I prefer donkbet on limped or minraised pots)
