I think turn is close between barreling and checking. As played, good spot to overbet the river to fold out many pairs? What if the A would be a K?

PokerStars - 20/40 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): 13.85 BB
BB: 11.15 BB (VPIP: 65.00, PFR: 52.63, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J 2

Hero calls 0.5 BB, BB checks

Flop: (2 BB, 2 players) 6 8 A
BB checks, Hero bets 1 BB, BB calls 1 BB

Turn: (4 BB, 2 players) T
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (4 BB, 2 players) 5
BB checks, Hero ?

Vs rec or reg?
I expect u to barrel spades and 79ott so u don t have the nuts otr then i would never overbet against a reg here.
Vs rec why not.

Good point. This is vs a rec, so I think an overbet is better than checking.

Can somebody explain why we don't fold preflop this short? Saw in the chadders hyper package that he said we should not limp those hands.

Vs a rec I both like betting turn, or checking turn overbetting river. You aren't repping that much at all, so you would have to be a bit picky as to which player to do it against.

Vs reg I wouldn't bother tbh. You would have to be fairly balanced, both on the turn and river (but could expand value range with 2p type hands.)

In my opinion.. :-)

I believe J2o is a clear limp pre at this depth. Usually I open-fold it from 4.6 to 6bb, but I will consider it from 6 - 8bb if villain is really spazzy against limps.

For me the turn is a clear barrell and not close at all. People fold more than enough here on A-high board especially now that a second overcard to 6/8 comes along.

I'm not a huge fan of a river bet here because I think villain will have some hands that he feels uncomfortable valuebetting on a connected boards, but hands he can't really let go either, like two pairs. I think an overbet could work here even if you rep nothing, but not sure if it's better than giving up or not.

I think the Ts connects to a flop calling range pretty hard. Many backdoors hit a draw, plus many straight draws and backdoors hit a pair. The overcard probably makes it fine to barrel, but I don't believe it's a very clear barrel. Not sure though.

In a raised pot I'd definitely agree with you, yet in this spot he can have just so many random stuff.
