Very early in the second match against this guy. He's very spewy and chases draw like crazy: here's an example from the last match.

Full Tilt Poker $11 + $0.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t30/t60 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Hero (BTN/SB): t2055 34.25 BBs
BB: t945 15.75 BBs

Pre Flop: (t90) Hero is BTN/SB with J 9
Hero calls t30, BB checks

Flop: (t120) J T 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t120, BB calls t120

Turn: (t360) 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t240, BB calls t240

River: (t840) Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Spoiler:
Final Pot: t840
Hero shows Jd 9c (two pair, Jacks and Nines)
BB shows 8d 4h (a straight, Queen high)
BB wins t840

And this is the hand in question:

Full Tilt Poker $11 + $0.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN/SB: t1560 52 BBs
Hero (BB): t1440 48 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BB with 4 5
BTN/SB calls t15, Hero checks

Flop: (t60) 7 3 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t60, Hero raises to t150, BTN/SB calls t90

Turn: (t360) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets t240, BTN/SB calls t240

River: (t840) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t840, Hero pukes up

I thought for a while on the river before checking, and he almost immediately bet pot. This was like the worst card in the deck for me, and he could easily have two clubs or 85 that now beat me. But at the same time, his line pretty much looked like a trip (6x) as well, although I'm not sure if he's able to make value bets like this.

Easy call, or puking fold?

Against this player type I would be raising the flop more so you can bet more on the turn. He clearly doesn't like his fold button.

do you think he would just flat a 6 on the turn?

worst card in the deck/board ran out awfully. fold.

I think river is either check and call a small bet or bet/fold if you think he will cold call 6's and 5's and shove flushes.

Rather than focusing on the river (he drew out, sucks to be you), I'd focus on a part of this hand that you can improve a lot, which is the flop.

Play straights waaaaayyyyy faster against total stations like this. Your hand is not invulnerable, and he will put a ton of money in bad.

Yeah, I should have made it to 200 or larger on the flop. Didn't mean to slowplay it, I just couldn't come up with nice number. Thanks a bunch for your advice.

ps. please check your pm box!

i'd fold river. an $11 player isn't often snap bluffing there. unless it was total spew bluff. that card is great to bluff yes, but i'd expect him to take more time if he was doing so. i think he has clubs, boat, or higher straight too often for you too call.

Hmm, I thought my straight was good only until the river. Against this particular spewy villain, isn't this line (passive call twice and snap pot bet when checked on the river) consistent with flush draw that just got there? Especially since he's been chasing draw like crazy as you can see in the first hand.

Oh, I agree he is a ****** by the way

Given how he played the SD earlier I would raise massively on the flop (like 250-300) and go huge on the turn as well. I wouldn't play it like that vs. most, but I think this guy is bad enough.

Also readless against a normal player a huge bet on the flop (maybe not turn) is nice, since we can rep a FD going for FE.
