I'm not too concerned about this hand but wanted to get some advice on handling these type boards where it is unlikely for either player has a piece. What are some good lines to take in/out of position? Should I just give up in this hand? c/r better? I thought I could find better spots against him so gave up.

Lead this board at least some of the time. Paired boards in general are good to stab at in limped pots, and you can get a good dynamic going if he calls or raises you often.

those people are typically also the types of opponents who float c/r light and don't believe anything. i usually wait for a hand to bluffcatch/raise for value.

U got nothing oop, c/f. If you bet you leave space for your opponent to raise you on the flop or just floating the turn, and after you check the turn, you gonna face a bet and even if a 7/T come, you are in a horrible spot.
