Villain had been out of line in a few spots. Seemed like a fairly aggro reg who liked to make a few moves. 3X Btn about 80% or more and generally seemed a pretty tough customer. Do we call this river?? Is this a good spot against an aggro player who is capable of 3 barrelling? I had sort of underbet to induce value, but I didn't expect the jam to be honest.

You have to 3bet this pre, as played you have to raise flop big I expect him to ship most draws if he has been out of line.

River is a fold.

3bet PF, raise/get in it OTF. River seems pretty bet/fold spot.

if villain 2 barrels a lot then by all means let him 2 barrel, if he's not 2 barreling then raise flop.

Basically u r raising flop very often if u don't have specific reads about villain's turn tendencies and/or need to strengthen ur flop calling range.

really??
First , you have to 3bet preflop here!!

Second , the flop came perfect for you (no over card). Now probably you know he is going to cbet , so c/r here 320ish.

The rest of the play is not important cause you should not be in this spot anymore

Hi ,

Thanks for all the replies.

I didn't 3 bet here because Villain folded to 3b strength. You get these Villains sometimes who love to run over you, but dodge and weave pretty well. So I am not convinced that flatting isn't an option here. Sure 3 betting is optimal, but game flow is important.

Villain had been 2 barreling and 3 barreling very wide, as was the PF raising. Given stack sizes, and the way the hand was played its difficult to put villain on a credible hand me thinks.

The only hand that calls the turn and shoves the river is A4 of hearts(maybe A8h also ). Most Villains do not play two pair and a set this slow. Is a random Ace really getting to this river then shoving?
T7 would surely have raised the turn so...meh what does Villain rep here?

Let him 2br then, and shove turn if you trust your reads

why bet so small on turn??? There is a lot of draws there and you need to protect

Why would you lead turn then?

If he is folding to that many 3bets you should be 3betting a polarized range vs him. and if he's been opening >%80 and doesn't adjust you will have a pretty easy time.
