Wait, what?
He checkraises a drawy flop and with no "significant post-flop reads" you take all draws out of his range. Also he really can't have a decent pair+draw here because of the board, I mean I guess a 7 w/diamond draw is possible but you are ahead of all of those.
If anything the small c/r followed by half pot on the turn makes me think he doesn't have a hand like A8/2 pr/set since he's not betting more to protect his hand.
+1 to jamming the turn, get called by a lot of draws worse 8's and 7's.
