Hi HU-forums,

i played a lot of SnGs the last few months but it looks like i cant even beat the 5$ SnGs.
It makes me sick and i don`t really understand why.

Now i am trying to get better by reading the forums.


Is there anything else you would recommend?

I dont have the money for an expensive coach but i really want to win money again.

I mean it shouldnt be so hard to beat the 5$ right?

Hi- I can recommend tagpoker.co.uk- which is ideal for beginners like you to get some cheap resources. There are plenty of solid free videos to help you beat different types of fish, and the site owner doesn't charge an obscene amount for coaching (if you do end up wanting it).

Personally I've never had coaching/leakfinder sessions etc or paid for anything since I have a tight budget and like to figure things out mostly myself. I am a part of the community there though- which basically help each other out (post hand histories etc)- and your silly questions will always get answered.

and of course read and post hands here in the forum, that should be plenty enough to beat the lowstakes

you should/can also join a study group and talk with other players

I think reading this forum and posting your hands is more than enough to beat low-mid stakes.

Ask somebody to review one of your HH's. I'm sure there's a couple of guys here willing to give you a bit of their time and insight.

i'm assuming you are/ have been rolled for 5's. i would say 1 month of standard husng.com
membership which is like 25 $ if i remember correct is the best and fastest way to figure out where some of your leaks is because there is so many leakfinders that u can use. EG. pause the video and think about what you would do and than look at what is being said is the best option

This. There are good basic videos.
I started playing 3 months ago, at the beginning my winrate was ~ 53 % at <10$ after watching videos on tagpoker and videos on ru.pokerstrategy my winrate incrased to 60%. So in my experience videos are good way to improve.

I agree with Happyz. the Standard Videos on HUSNG.com are nuts, and after studying them I was able to beat the 5s, 6s, 11s and 15s over 4000 game sample size.

My opinion on tagpoker.co.uk:
I respect what they have done. And they are teaching a pretty unique strategy for beating fish. So go for it if you want. But be prepared that you have to adjust your game a lot when playing against good players.

That's the reason i think husng.com is better, because it is a bit more of a standard strategy - especially in the standard Videos.

At small stakes it is often just a few basic leaks you have to find in your game to be much better than the average player. You should find your leaks either way, by watching Videos, reviewing HH and talking strategy here in the forum

I'd start by taking the time to read through the beginners thread here on this forum. There are probably a lot of questions/clarifications that will apply directly to your current situation.

get a sub to a poker site and check out the beginer sections. Do not conern yourself with the reg vs reg parts because that will just reinforce -EV plays in your mind; in reg vs reg you do -EV plays to establish a wider range of hands and therefore setup +EV plays later on in matches. I dont know about this tagpoker.com site, but I would not be at the level I am today if not for husng.com. The website is devoted to husngs (ldo) and is the sponsor of this forum. I guarentee their coaches are better than that other site.

i would have to recommend tagpoker.co.uk as a great place to start especially if your a beginner. There are tons of free videos and alot of people in the community over there willing to help you get better

Today i played 2 SnGs and won both, but i figured i dont play more today but spend the rest of my time learning more.

I am on tagpoker right now and i think the site is awesome.


Anyway, this might be a little bit offtopic but is someone playing on I-poker (chili) and can tell me how to get the hand histories?
