I look forward to this event every year and in the 4 years I have lived in Minnesota I have finished in the top 30 3 times.

I took a break from playing lots of poker after Black Friday and would play sporadically at MSPTs and brief WSOP trips some online but spent the majority of my time being a new dad of two and working on my career.

Recently, Now that my kids are out of diapers I have more time and began studying the game again and have rekindled my passion for the game. I study more than I play and play online 2-3 times a week and 1-2x a month at the casinos here in smaller tournaments. I feel like I am playing at a really high level have been posting really good results.

Thanks gents. Yeah I was heading to the cage to rebuy when I lost a 100 bbs but they left me 3.25 bbs at 1-200 and I somehow spun that first bullet into 190k. Never done that before was a lot of fun.

13th place. We were 6 or 7 handed and I had 600K (around average) at 12-24k folds to the small blind who 2.5xs
I look at Ah3h in the bb and decide to flat and play the pot in position.
Flop comes Qh8d3s He bets 2.5bb I call intending on folding to another barrel if I don't improve.
Turn is an 9h and he bets 5.5 bbs with 350k behind.
I felt like this is a good card to shove on because I can get him to fold most of his 1 pair hands.
He called pretty quickly with KQ and I bricked the river to finish 13th.
