re: Scarer's WSOP 2012 Package - $18k+ UNPAID TO BACKERS - *Thursday payments reported*
Yeah not super happy about this to be honest as seems like a pretty fundamental thing to make sure you have access to buy ins before leaving.
Also package is much more stable with a lot more games and missing the ME is bad, 1.25 MU is very high without ME and a full package.
Today is Friday and still no word.

david, the best thing you can do, no matter what the situation is, is to be open and keep backers in the loop as to when we can expect payment (even if it will be a while). especially if you want to sell packages in the future

on the optimistic side, david did say he was traveling to new york, so its possible he just hasn't had internet access while traveling, and I know he doesn't have a cell phone with him.

Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have paid or contacted anyone else.

Well, he posted to Twitter from Philly on the 4th, so I don't think that's the case. If you do know him, I suggest you get him to check into the thread and inform his investors.

Marketplace mods are aware of this.
There is no sign that he has been on-site since July 4.

Hi guys,
Sorry about the absence over the last 5 days or so. Pretty hectic last week; I've been traveling up and down the East coast and haven't been online until today.
I fly back to the UK on 29th July and will make sure everyone is paid either on the 30th or 31st of July at the latest.
I'll post a comprehensive list of everyone who bought shares and their exact refunds/share of cashes.

Buyins missed = $28,000
minus $3,000 (#23) of which you are not eligible
= 25,000 * 1.25(MU) * 1%(your share) = $312.50
Tried, but couldn't pm you /\

OK I show you playing in events 9, 14, 16, 21, 28, 31, 33, 41, 43, 49.
You missed 23, 36, 38, 44, 46, 50, 53, 54, 56, 59, 61
This missed events total $31,000, but I only had from 28 on so $28,000 missed. Multiplied by 1.25 = $35,000 so my refund should be $350. Happy to have my math checked/facts corrected as there is a lot of detail here.

Can you just show which events you played and which you missed with buy ins for each event will be simplest and we can all see if we have the same numbers.

Really feel OP should address the mark up for the events played. I doubt people would have snapped 1.25 for what ended up being played as great as hindsight is I wouldn't have invested knowing the amount that'd be skipped and then OP would be on holiday till the end of the month.

Kinda gets worse than that. OP also sold this package as mini packages with less mark up and as individual events. Buying the same events as mini packages would have yielded an overall MU of approximately 1.22.
In addition, %s in individual events were also sold, at times putting OP on a literal freeroll (e.g. Event 31: 46% sold in main package, 2.5% sold as mini-package, 30% sold in individual event = 78.5% meaning OP had to put up around $28 for 21.5% of himself).
I really question where all the money has gone and why it's OK to take a month to pay people back. Arrangements can be made.

I wouldn't have bought if you didnt have Main event and few other tournaments that you missed in the package.
I accept the transfer for what you think is correct amount on Stars (fwiw, I don't think it is what you have there on last post). You can have your friend to log in from UK and send it right about now.
I don't accept this kind of money loaning.

I agree with you, but it's hard to deal with IMO - any suggestions?

Yeah if this true then numbers have to be adjusted slightly.
Not sure how much this affects it, but obv ME and some other events would have had higher markup than the events played. Anyway, just voicing my concerns.
