My name is Dan Thomson, and have been a coach and stable manager for Imawhale Staking for the past 5 years. I also work as a professional sports bettor, having been featured in an ESPN article.

I play primarily live cash, with 90% of my volume taking place in the 5/10 NLHE games at Wynn. I'm nicknamed "Buffalo" in that room, and most Vegas local 5/10 regs will know me. Since the start of 2017 I've averaged ~$75/hour in the game over a sample of roughly 1000 hours of live play. I do play a bit online in order to stay in touch with the climate of the games, with most of that play being 2/5 on Ignition and WSOP.com. Shane Sigsbee, owner/president of Imawhale, can confirm these results and serve as a reference.

Traditionally I have focused almost exclusively on cash, but at the start of 2018 I decided to make an effort to play some more live MTTs and put more learning effort into MTTs as well. I have been admittedly running very hot, cashing more than half of my entries, but nonetheless I feel I have in fact developed a good feel for live MTTs. Here are the online play results I have in my database. This is all post Black Friday on US friendly sites, although as I've said over the last 2 years since moving to Vegas my volume has shifted much more towards live play.



I work weekly with a study group of similar stakes live and online regs going through material like the Upswing Elite Mastery course, working out spots in PIO, and reviewing HHs.

I think I'm going to end up selling 45% as I have some friends that have expressed interest, and I want to respect first come first serve, but since they are friends if they want in after I book the 40% I'll let them in for a small amount. So as a heads up to all investors it's looking possible I'll sell 45% and retain 55% of myself.
