no markup?!?!?! this is probably a leak brad. since you are covering expenses, total cost of the trip is around $12k. your equity after selling 50% at no markup is 50% of $10k, or $5k. but you paid $7k. so if you get a 40% ROI on the $5k, you expect back $7k, a break even proposal for you.

this good a player, that is a STEAL! sending $300... and recommending you think about your rate. but then again, i think there's no problem you'll sell clean out at no markup.

do other players think it is worth it for him to sell this much at no markup? 5 or 10% seems pretty innocuous considering his ROI on pokerstars over the last 3000 MTTs he's played is over 50%.

I'm intersted in this, can someone tell me what would happen regarding tax though? I'm fromt the UK and as such don't pay tax on gambling winnings, anyone with experience know how I would claim back?

You wouldn't.

You would get the pre-tax amount from me, and I would claim the stake payout against my 2009 gambling income when I file my taxes using IRS form 5754 to identify all my backers.

I believe in free market economics. Seems like a small potential return though but you are the arbiter of what is worth your time and effort.
