Hi, my name is Alan Chern and I am looking to play the $1500 Monster Stack, $1500 WSOP Mixed NL/PLO event, and up to a $225 sng ($175 buyin with $20 bounties). I will not re-enter these events. If I make day 2 of the Monster Stack, I will likely skip the Mixed NLH/PLO event but reserve the right to play the following events that will total up less than the Mixed NL/PLO entry fee + MU: 2 entries of the $350 Planet Hollywood $150k Guaranteed Almost Goliath Stack at 1.15, 1 entry of the $400 Wynn $50k Guaranteed at 1.12, and 1 entry of the $235 WSOP Daily Deepstack at 1.12. It’s unlikely that I would play all of these alternative events. I am looking to sell 50%, with 20% reserved for friends/previous investors.
If I do not cash either MTT, I will refund 50% of MU.
I am a full-time actuary/financial manager but poker is a serious hobby. Recently, my poker volume has been exclusively live. I mainly play NL/PLO cash, with some mtts. I feel very comfortable in a live setting, limiting my own tells as well as gathering reads on others. In the past, my online play played focused turbo mtts/sngs and PLO cash/mtts, although I mixed in some stud/8 and NLHE cash as well regular speed mtts.
About 5.5 years ago, I started talking to several pros/former pros including phishman420, lilfishatl, pokeflute, zachvac, and mikeofreak. I learned a lot from these great players and have been using my knowledge I have gained on a regular basis. I have also known former pro Joedeertay since high school and we have discussed endless poker strategy. Additionally, I regularly watch training videos (mainly about MTTs and PLO cash) to both improve my game and keep up with the current trends.
Schedule:

These tournaments provides plenty of value. There will be large fields of players, many of whom will be amateurs. The Monster Stack could be the best value of the summer given the structure and possibly best field of the summer. I know of several good players who have opted to skip this event to break up the summer grind. In the WSOP Mixed NL/PLO event, even strong PLO cash players who may play this event may not be equipped with proper PLO tournament strategy. I have done well in online PLO tournaments and studied differences between cash and tournament play in order to be ready for this type of event. The field should have plenty of value due to the WSOP name and NL component. The WSOP sngs at the lower levels are filled with players who have no concept of the push/fold strategy required to do well in these fast structured single table events.

Here are my results since 2011:

2011 year started out tough, the middle went amazing, but the end some variance kicked in. 2012 also started out tough, but improved a good amount after coming home from Vegas. 2013 went pretty well. There were some swings, but ended very strongly. The results have continued through the present.

Around game 625 is when I started playing seriously and had a pretty nice swing in 18s, 45s, 180s, and mtts(turbo and plo). The downswing near the end was a bad run in 6.5 18s and 2.2 180s.

This graph does not capture 2 freerolls I did well in. I got 4th in a US Relief Freeroll for $900 and cashed in a freeroll where they awarded the top 10% ish $100.
Previous packages:

This package from 2 summers ago went quite well. The package included the Wynn Classic run, where I felt comfortable throughout, and a WSOP sng that I chopped 4 ways for $500.

This package includes the PLO event in my hendon mob. Flopped top set in a multiway pot on a monotone board with a SPR of 1 so no escaping that.

This package from this last summer resulted in a loss, but I was able chop a sng and provided prompt payouts and many updates .

Tips
I will likely not be tipping in addition to any % already taken out. If I do, it will be on my own dime.
Payments: Cash in Central NJ/Vegas, Chase Quickpay, and Paypal. I can probably work something with Bank of America if necessary.
I will be updating investors on twitter via @acdawg712
Thanks for looking!
