The bidding/auction system has a serious flaw in it, its almost like eBay except there arent strikes or negative feedback. There is a reason you pay a 10% premium on eBay, for security. 2+2 marketplace is a free/open market kind of like craigslist where there is no supervision and subsequently auctions don't exist.

I applaud Timex, he got maximum value and it was very creative by him, but he will most likely be one of the last to sell a package in such a way.

Good point guys. I developed a software that solves all that issues around the (dutch) bidding system and fake buys. I am sure that this will be the future staking method. It just has to be more accessible to the main stream of poker guys by delivering basic explanations how it works. hook me up for more info!

I think ppl whining that other ppl sell at "too high prices" because the first ones feel they are better than the latter (while the latter often feel the other way around) are just jealous.

In generell auctions are more likely to give the player higher MUs because they will usually not sell cheaper than what the market is willing to pay.
If sometimes the market is willing to pay to much, good for the players. In this case i think 3.4 MU is still +EV. He "just" needs a ROI of 241. However if you dont want the gamble it is maybe not worth it because the ROI of the investor will be low and its a lot of variance.

For normal tournaments though i think it makes sense to offer for example a package at 1.2 and when it is sold give the option to outbid (maybe in 0.05 steps) the people that bought at 1.2.

Not sure if you need software for it, but a dutch auction is a great idea!

Busto. Extremely uneventful/card dead 6 levels where I never went over 38k or under 23k.

Got moved to a new table where one villain was just going nuts. He was cramming his 50-60BB stack over opens and also ripping it postflop so I was limping somewhat often. I limp QTss UTG, UTG+2 2.5xs it at 300/600/75, I call

Flop: AhJs2d, check check
Turn: 9s, I bet 3k into 4600, he makes it 10k. I assume he just has like AA/AJ/99 and call
River: 6s, I shove his last 18k and lose to A8ss

Left with 4k and shove QQ over an open and lose to AJo
