I'm not surprised. I don't know him personally, but because of the way he trolled one of my previous MP threads, I would say this is right in line with his character.

Classless. You lie blatantly about the hand to seem as if everyone was sucking out on you. Then you backtrack by saying you drank to much and it has clogged your memory? I don't know what's worse. Someone who parties the night before a 10K event, with other peoples monies, or a liar.

The drinking thing was in reference to AFTER the event, not before. I posted my bustout hand the day after I did bust out. I never drink before or during a tournament.

During the entire WSOP, I drank exactly once - not even after I won my bracelet, only when I had a break from the 50k and Main Event.

So are you saying that you believe those witnesses did not lie and that you assume that drinking after the event made you forget the true details of the hand?

I'd like to think that even after drinking I could remember if i got it in good or bad in a 10k but if you can't you probably should stop drinking

So even if you got black out drunk afterwards, that ususally doesn't involve having memory loss from the events beforehand.

I have invested in Owais in the past and never had a problem. This thread makes me smh. Owais has made me very very good returns in the past and we never had a problem anything like this. I really really hope Owais just comes totally clean so he can move on.

There's a pretty big difference between forgetting the details of a hand you played a long time ago, and describing a hand in painstaking detail with lots of relevant, specific information shortly after busting, and having those details be flat out false.


Basically, I echo MM's thoughts on the situation, which is that even if a magical fairy could somehow ensure that Owais would never lie/scam for the rest of his life, I wouldn't invest another penny in someone whose decision making process is so shortsighted and, for lack of a better word, stupid.

Pretty sure I can come clean for him:

1) busted in a non-optimal fashion (not even that bad really), knew it then, as evident by him getting up to go
2) decided to lie about it IN DETAIL for some odd reason.
3) two ppl confirmed his detailed story was completely false.
4) continued to lie about it for some odd reason
5) now is chalking it up to bad memory/drinking/'agree to disagree' for some odd reason.

nothing really needs to be cleared up, i think its pretty obvious this is what happened. why is happened? idk some odd reason i guess.

I interpreted that as the night before making the twitter post, not the night before the mtt. Apparently there was some time between his bust out and the update on twitter. Either way, lol humans.

I haven't posted this earlier, since I haven't invested in Owais personally, and also fact that I wasn't a witness of the incident first hand, and did not wish to tarnish someones reputation without first hand proof, but after stumbling across this thread, I feel obligated to mention this.

The reason I can say this for sure is because I know the "lady who overplays her hand" very well , and she recapped the bustout hand for me right after the hand happened. She was super excited about busting a player of Owais's caliber and came over to my table to tell me about it. I was playing the same tourney.

"She raised and got 3 bet shoved on by Owais and she called. Owais had AQ and she had AK."

She mentioned about the 2p2 post of Owais about his bustout hand which she happened to stumble into around new year's eve. She is just an recreational player and does not care enough to post on 2p2.

I obviously trust her since she told me owais's hand the same day she played the event, and only saw Owais's recap of the bust out hand a month later.

I could ask her about stack sizes and stuff but that is unimportant. The important thing is that Owais did just flat out fabricate his bustout version to make it sound better, it is kinda funny and sad at the same time cuz the way I saw it, his real bustout hand was fairly standard.
