I've been more confused after every post. Selective memory? Gostatego and other guy said u were standing up on the turn ready to go... What in the **** is this? These long drawn out post using the defense 'but guys if i was lieing wouldnt I of lied here...!' is absurd

No comment on the hand except dat sht cray, but IMO it should be a rule that you have to provide a photo or scan of the tournament ticket to confirm your participation in the tournament. After that posting hands and chip counts is up to you but I think it's in poor taste to leave your investors wondering what you're doing all day if you have a way of communicating with them. You're at the table for 12 hours or whatever, take 30 seconds to hop on Twitter and let people know what's up. I guess this is kind of off topic but since there has been some discussion of transparency this is as good a place as any to bring it up.

The most shocking part of this thread is the fact someone put the backpack on & stood up on the turn & didnt bink the river. WTF

But seriously, it seems like ran aa into a floppped set in 3b/pot is all that needed to be said. People these days are more strategically investing rather than just gambling for a sweat. Theyre not gonna stop investing bc u busted in a relatively standard spot?

Lol at using drinking as an excuse. We are not 15 anymore. How much did you really drink the night before? As an investor and also as someone who has began selling action, thiS is very very strange to me. Why would you want to ruin a reputation in a matter of minutes by lying (or seeing it differently) just my $.02

i really do not want to be involved in this anymore but your demeanor (getting up/putting backpack on) before the river card was dealt clearly you knew you were beat. Im not a psychologist though so I don't know about like blocking things out or whatever

This gets stranger and stranger with every post, but I really do not understand the motivation to lie about the hand. But then mentioning drinking as an excuse?

I just feel like he made an absurd bad decision to voluntarily post hand details and lie about it rather than say "busto, gg, get em next time" and then once he got caught in a lie just dug himself so deep into a hole with denial that he could no longer just say "hey guys, I lied, idk wtf I was doing, I'm really sorry" so he's basically pleading insanity now and/or trying to move over it by saying "let's just agree to disagree" as if this is an opinion based discussion rather than a fact based one.

I mean, two people are very clearly and compellingly saying that the dude had 22 and instead of admitting he is wrong, owais' response is basically "I apologize that they have a different opinion on this issue than me"

And the fact that most of the time is spent discussing other times when he could've lied and didn't, or asking what his incentive would be to lie, and not addressing the situation itself is pretty bizarre too. Like obviously at some point absurdly illogical decisions were made, so discussing the entire thing as if it was a thought out, rational process isn't going to hold a ton of water

Can you explain the drinking thing? Are you saying you drank heavily the night before playing, while playing, or the night after? The first 2 certainly don't make you look any better, as if you were so hungover or drunk during the tournament that you don't know how you busted, that's not responsible when you have people investing in your success

This reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman was 100% sure he helped Jimmy on the fishsticks joke.

He didnt post his bust out hand on twitter until after 1am on thursday morning and on here until 10am thursday. He prob busted somewhere between 6-7pm wednesday. His only other tweet, that day was about LOL soft his table was. This could be meaningless info..but i dont think it helps his case. Most people when they bust and take a bad beat in a big tournament, cant wait to tell the world. Others obviously dont. IMO..it looks like he busted, thought for a few hours about what he wanted to post, bc it doesnt look like he was happy with his play. I wanna give him the benefit of the doubt that this is all just meaningless and his phones battery was probably dead but i think its hard to give him any benefit at this point.
Its just so ironic that if he said lost aces to a set in 3 bet pot..no one would have thought twice.
I guess we cant get mad anymore at media reporters for butchering hands online if players in the hand mistakenly see picture cards instead of no spotters.

I always inquire how my horses bust from tournaments, and then I check with someone else who confirm or deny the story. It is not rare to hear that a horse lied.

Just own it dude, you lied. All these long responses with you skirting around the main issue makes you look worse imo. Own it and move on.

The only thing about owais I know is that he called the floor and demanded a penalty against a player for saying F*** at the table during the 50k in the midst of some kind of childish pissing contest, which I thought was a bitch move for a nobody to pull in such a prestigious event. It seems like Owais is an extremely dodgy guy and at least a little off kilter at the minimum, I think a marketplace ban would be a good precedent for lying about bust out hands.

If you are going to argue that somehow your brain "short circuited" and wrote over your real memory and created a completely different and more palatable one for a poorly played hand then you should probably talk to your doctor and take a long break from playing poker with other peoples money at the very least.

I have not lied. Maybe it was the drinking plus whatever else happened the night before. Maybe that changed my perspective on the situation.

People who know will say I am very professional and business like when it comes to the poker. I am not here to party.

I dont get how OP can say how professional he is at the start of this. He talks about how he is not out there to drink and party. Than he uses drinking as an excuse. This is just so sketchy on every level from the OP.

My favorite part is when OP decides he can just write some bs excuses and say something to the effect of "Well, guess we saw things differently. Oh well. You can end this thread now." Uhh dude, you don't decide when this thread ends at this point.

I don't think he is really looking for an excuse as much as he is trying to understand how his memory is so fu** up in this situation. He has no reason to lie but clearly has it wrong. If I was in his situation I would be struggling to understand how i could remember this so clearly yet so wrong.
