During my time as a PhD student in Statistics (finished in spring 2012), I played a lot of live poker on the side, mainly at Borgata and Parx casinos. Though I’ve grinded out a nice profit in cash games (NL and especially PLO), my main success has been in live MTTs. 2011-2012 were particularly lucrative, with over 68K in cashes.

In addition, I also won a $300 Borgata Friday MTT in May 2011 for $11k, took 2nd at a $250 Lucky Chances Sunday MTT in October 2012 for $6k, and finished 5/312 (5-way chop) in a monthly $345 Lucky Chances event in February 2013 for $12.5K (these three were not recorded on Hendon Mob).

Total Buy-ins: $3500 x 1.15 = $4025. For pieces 10% and larger, I'll drop markup to 1.05.

5% - $201.25
10% -$367.50 (1.05)
15% -$551.25 (1.05)

Taxes: In the event of a $5k+ score, I will need W-9s with personal information otherwise I will withhold 28% to cover tax liabilities.
Updates: I’ll regularly update my Twitter (@ollierunner10), usually once per level with chip counts, as well as after big hands/double ups/pay jumps etc.
