Why on earth would he do this? You're confused or counterscaming. The simplification of owing fewer people is not an incentive to increase the amount owed. For $30k he could hire an audit firm.

The arrangement you're looking for is buying the debt from the stakers at a discount. You buy his $90k for say $60k and the stakers are happy to get 2/3 back and you work him to try to get the full $90k and make a profit.

OP does seem to have genuine intentions to pay back the money owed but I have no idea why he chose the game type with highest variance to get backed in when he stated he was a good winner at HU-hypers and also at 45-mans where he could be making $$ more consistently as well as earning from rakeback.

To a certain extent, you have to understand that if ferg is actually irl broke than he needs to live off something. If he spends all his time coaching and playing and vows to donate 100% of his profit from MTTs and 10% of his profits from coaching than I think thats standard assuming he isnt spending 100% his time coaching and avoiding playing. If he were to just say 10% of all his profits from here on out, that would be ludicrous and basically a slap in the face for everyone involved. But taking 90% of a steady income and 0% of a high risk high reward income seems understandable giving the situation he has described

Here is an update...I am being backed by bootswild on stars for $55 and under MTTs. I cannot play on full tilt until i can repay the $7,500 to open it back up. Boots needs to be paid back first since he is the backer and I will need to profit $15.6k to do that. Once I profit the 15.6k for boots that means his debt is paid off and the 91k number would be knocked down by $7,800.

sorry to bump this, however i do feel an issue needs to be brought up to the investors of both ferg and 2+2 marketplace in general

the payback for this thread is being handled on ptp, as ferg did ship to several members for his WSOP bap when it closed, the site had asked that those who received funds from ferg ship to ptp so it can be distributed equally amongst those who were rolled

the site can't force those who received money to ship back, but obviously it's just a matter of fairness to the community (both 2+2 and ptp) and selfish by those who are withholding.

names were deleted from the OP as they paid back or said they couldn't but they would (which is fair, as this was several months ago and they did not know the bap was rolled at that point, the money could have been spent or lost or whatever). after 3 weeks there are 4 names left in the OP and the highest amount is that of drkamikaze, who has posted several times in this thread, other threads relating to PTP controversy on 2+2, and is a regular in the marketplace. drkamikaze was finally called out in the PTP thread for it 2 days ago, but the matter quickly died out without her making good on this, and she went back to selling her action on the site while withholding money (or even offering an explanation of any kind) from investors

for 3 weeks she has completely ignored this thread despite being pm'd about it multiple times. while i realize $374 is a teardrop in an ocean, it's still the principle that no one person should be made whole before anyone else even knows if they're even going to get half of their money back ultimately. my hope is that the 2+2 investors knowing this would put enough pressure on her for her to make good on this

if she already got her money back, i think that she would be pretty dumb to send it back so it can be chopped up into $5 increments and sent to 30 different people. but that's just me!

obviously, but that's not the point. the practice of PTP is that when a person rolls, everyone is given money equally, no one person is paid in full before anyone else gets paid. and if the situation DOES arise where that person is paid in full, they are asked to ship to the site for distribution. you see this in the appeals subsection where a person is closing a BAP and ships the portion of his bap that belongs to someone who has rolled to the site to add to distribution funds, even if the person who closed the bap was impacted by the roll.

she has constantly been outspoken both here and on PTP about integrity and playing by the rules but suddenly when she's impacted and she can make herself whole without having to wait for ferg to complete his payback, the rules don't apply to her?

it is clearly stated in that thread that it is the staker's option to return funds or not. how is it breaking the rules?

ofc it would be a goodwill gesture if every1 did return funds, but dont misrepresent what was done.

I realize that this probably true, if it isn't well then oh boy do we have a big problem here.

My gripe is that the amount of money involved and lack of communication is very troublesome. The last information posted on this thread was that he was being staked up to $55 MTTs to repay the debt. I think it serves as some form of respect to the people he ripped off as well as to provide transparency in the process for him to take 30 seconds out of his life to post how/why he is playing a $5k.
