Hey, my name is Steven Gurney-Goldman and I am thinking about playing the Main Event of the East Coast Poker Championships at turning stone. I'm not sure if I will play it, and I'm also not sure if I do whether I want to sell pieces. This would be my first time selling pieces to an event, and right now i'm just looking to gauge interest. If you are interested in taking a piece please reserve but no need to send anything yet as there is a pretty decent likelihood that I skip this event or don't sell action to it. Also, since I'm a American i'll need either cash at the event, paypal $, or a bank transfer.

Buy-in is $1650, (1500+150) and I'm looking to potentially sell 40% at no Mark-up since this is my first time selling.

1%= $16.50
5%=$82.50
10% =$165
40% =$660

A little bit about me. I got into poker a couple years ago. Kind of fooled around in all sorts of games, played double or nothing's for a bit. Played a lot of live tournament satellites.. Then started playing some MTTs. Currently go to school full time, and haven't played much in the last couple months. That being said I have done a lot to try and get better at MTTs, and while I dont have too much live experience I have some.I've played the EPT London main event a couple years ago, played LAPT Lima, UKIPT Galway, WSOPc in oklahoma.. as well as a lot of tournaments at turningstone. Don't really have any live results except for a couple of small cashes $1k and under but I feel increasingly comfortable playing live.

Here are my online stats.. have had a lot of success in the 'steps' sngs on stars too that isn't accounted for with any tracking, but yea

Know a couple of MTTc'ers and i'll try to get them to vouch for my trustworthy-ness. Thanks for reading!

Met Steven in Galway and whilst we didnt rly discuss hands I can tell you hes trustworthy and an all round nice fella. If live MTTs are anything in america like they are here hes certainly +ev too. We've since done a few transactions online inc. me buiying euros for online $ from him in Galway and they were all done very smoothly. gl sir

Also, a couple of things I forgot to mention in the OP.

The event starts May 21st and is a 2 day event. I will be providing updates via twitter. www.twitter.com/stevster77. I’ve bought a couple of pieces before in the marketplace and I know for me personally it always made a big difference for me how often the person updated. I will do my best to update my twitter frequently, and if investors want I am even willing to PM you guys my cell phone # so you can text/call me if you want have any questions/want more updates etc.

Also, the thin profit margin on my stars OPR is largely due to many failed attempts at the 3x turbo satellites to events like the PCA, EPT Barcelona, LAPT Rosario..etc. If look at my OPR with estimated RA costs, the profit is a lot better. Anyone who has ever played these kind of satellites know there is a ton of variance in these, I know this probably comes off as me trying to make excuses but while obviously these are legit losses, but my performance in them really is irrelevant to my play in big freezeouts.

Lastly, in case of a big score, you will be responsible for your % of taxes. I will not withhold any money as long as you fill out the appropriate forms. Thanks again for reading,

Gonna bump this. I realize there's less investor money going around because of the money tied up from black friday and the fact that transferring how now become a hassle. That being said I think this is still a good +EV opportunity for investors and a good opportunity for me to play an event I might otherwise not.

I appreciate gawa and jiggy coming in this thread for me, hopefully a couple more people read this and decide it's worth their while. Regardless, thanks to anyone who is reading this for their time and consideration, and if anyone has any questions or concerns about the package feel free to post here.

hey guys, driving up to TS on tuesday, gonna be playing stuff tuesday-friday for sure, still undecided about the main however I think I'm leaning towards not playing. apologies for being so unsure, and thanks to everyone who has reserved a piece

i still however am not 100% sure, and if someone wants to reserve the last 15% or so feel free to, just know that it is likely i won't play.

i will probably make a final decision a couple days before the main, at which point I will update this thread. if for some reason I dont update the thread again (im sure I will), consider your %s not booked unless I have contacted you elsewhere and we have exchanged money before the event. i want to see how i'm feeling poker-wise, and get a sense of the likely field for the main. i am still even considering playing the event with 100% of myself. just thought i should update you guys, apologies for my indecisiveness

Not gonna sell pieces (probably won't play, but may try a sat and if i get the seat i'll just play it myself, or sell it off to someone). Thanks for the interest. Mods can lock this up.
