No one cares about extra money, what you need to do is ship back exactly what you have right now. Being wishy washy and trying to run it up or win it back or whatever is not the play, send out all the money you have to pay your debts.

Hey just now checked the thread again, wasn't ignoring you guys... If I spend some time grinding it back, you'll get it back faster that way than if I sent out all I can manage right now and paying the rest later. I'm trying to get the money back to you the fastest way possible.

Do not spend time grinding for my share. Return what you have right now.

some more clarity would be good, I have no idea what's going on right now since what you said is pretty vague.

just pay back what you can now and forget about grinding it back, we're not staking you at tournaments/cash games other than those listed on page 1.

I played the 6 prelim events, but the money for the ME is gone - I have zero of that. The money I have right now is my poker roll, my own money. To get your money back to you, I have to grind for a while.

I beg to differ. You received money to play the main event. You did not play the main event. If you currently have a < $10k(or 10k minus whatever % you had of yourself in the main) roll, then I'm sorry to tell you that you are busto. Pretty sure that you can get staked for SSNL again if needs be but just ship the money back ASAP and keep what's left of your rep around here.

Makes me sad because I've done micro BAP's with you in the past, and probably would have said "good guy" if asked... Crap like this ruins the whole concept of staking for all.

Greatwall - there's no distinction between "Your" money and the "ME money that's gone". It's all "yours" and you owe it all to the backers. I strongly suggest you ship what you have now, and worry about your roll afterwards.

Not invested, but this statement is ridiculous. Also, I noticed you made a bunch of WSOP investments. I would recommend anyone closing these who owe a payout to the GreatWall to post in this thread and possibly send to a designated investor/escrow until this matter is resolved.

Disagree with this - it's not the responsibility of people that GreatWall invested in to fix this issue - it's GreatWall's responsibility.

As soon as you lost other people's money, your money no longer became your own. You need to send out whatever you have now to pay back your debts.

He most likely doesn't have enough to cover the %'s sold or else he would've never posted that he screwed up.

That said, OP, you should consider the implications of this (not making good) on your reputation in your future endeavors (wherever your life may take you). In today's world, these things are 100% public. This is an open forum. These things don't just disappear =(.

yea, TGW, you should take everything you have in your account and pay off as many people as possible. This isn't even close. If any of the investors wish for you to keep the money and grind, then that will be part of a separate stake.

This is worse than the HIV thread for sure (albeit for less money). There he at least at some point stopped degenning with the money and returned what was left. Saying you need to grind our money back up is just so ridiculous.

Agree with the other investors. TGW's reaction to this whole situation has been completely absurd. ANY MONEY THAT YOU CURRENTLY HAVE NEEDS TO BE IMMEDIATELY DISTRIBUTED TO INVESTORS.

I'm actually wondering what (if any) is the consensus on this?

I'm one of the people whose wsop packages greatwall bought action in, & I returned my payout (which was less than 1% of the sum he owes from this thread) to him promptly.

I discussed with my roommates whether I should ship him his payout back or whether to post that he has money due from me in this thread, while withholding payment. They both said I should repay greatwall & let him deal with the issues created in this thread himself.

Although I ultimately followed this advice & transfered to greatwall b/c the payout amount was small, I did not necessarily agree. If I had a significant amount to send back (say $500+) I think I would have posted here first & withheld the payout or at least transfered to one greatwall's primary investors. Would this have been wrong?

Is there any general agreement as to how one should proceed in this sort scenario? Should the other people who greatwall has action in & owe him payouts withhold their transfers, or should these separate issues not be intermingled?

Yeah, it's not an issue of responsibility, but rather protecting investor funds until the debt is paid back. It's standard procedure on PTP.

In my opinion you should withhold payment, people who owe people money should not be receiving money from anyone if they arent using that money to directly pay back their debt
