I’m offering shares in myself in the £550 UKIPT Edinburgh main event at 1.1 markup. I’ve spent a lot of money in real life recently and want to preserve my bankroll to concentrate on moving up stakes online. Furthermore, I’m considering playing the WSOP next summer and would like to build a solid reputation in the staking forum. I am therefore looking to sell up to 50% of myself in this event. I will be playing the event regardless of how much I sell. I'll be playing on Friday the 20th August.
Poker Background
Heads Up
My current main game is heads up no limit 100-400nl. I am OMGgarycaldwell on full tilt and shareh0lder on pokerstars. I was lucky enough to get free coaching from Gman for a DeucesCracked series in the summer of 09. This completely changed the way I think about poker and has helped me become a much more analytical player. More recently, I played Wiltontilt heads up for a three part video series on DC. Its listed as Wiltontilt vs Tony on the site. This match is a more accurate reflection of my current game if any potential stakers want to take a look.

With this experience, I am particularly confident in my ability post flop in +50bb situations.
Tournament Credentials
Currently, I only play the occasional tournament when I want a break from HUNL. My stars and full tilt screennames therefore only have a small sample of high buy in tournaments which I've ran bad in. However, when I first started in poker, I built my bankroll through sngs and mtts on the old Betfair site under the name shareholder (graph below).
In this time (late 2008/2009), I had some decent scores including winning the daily $11k gtd on Betfair for $3.3k. Unfortunately, Betfair doesn’t seem to track scheduled MTT results.
So, I have a decent knowledge of ICM and late game tournament poker.
Live Experience
When I first got into poker I played a lot at my local casino where I used to play tournaments and cash with a lot of success (albeit at small stakes.) I still have most of my tournament winnings slips which I can scan up on request, though its a bit academic as you don't get a slip for the times you lose. In 2009, I came 4/287 in the UK Student Poker Championships:

I also satellited into the UKIPT Coventry main event and made day 2 but didn't cash.
Anyway I'm pretty outgoing so don't have too much trouble handling live poker compared to online.

glpmurray will vouch for me in this thread. I have done 5 figure $ transfers with him.
Conclusion
While I don’t have a large sample size of tournament success I’m confident that my understanding of deep stacked poker from my heads up experience and my knowledge of basic late game strategy gives me a pretty big edge vs this field.
I'm charging 1.1 Markup so the £550 seat becomes £605 so:
10%=£60.50
5%=£30.25
etc
For simplicity it would be good if people could pay in pounds on stars to shareh0lder (location Madrid.) If this is a real issue I can accept $ on stars or ft or maybe a bank transfer in pounds but I'm currently on holiday in Santiago and the internet is pish so it won't be easy for me to organise this until I get back to Scotland on Wednesday. Any questions please ask.
Cheers,
Tony
