Finally got wifi access here. Will be updating as often as possible during the tournament. KO bounty hasn't started cuz the main event day1A took away most of the tables and there's no tables available for Ko event ATM.

Had AQcc on A2c3c board up against 33. Have 6100 in chips left from starting stack of 7500 at 50/100. Still hanging. Table's pretty weak tight though.

oh well...gg'd the KO bounty just about 30 ppl away from money...pretty card dead the whole time actually and couldn't even find a spot to do anything. Finally got to 400/800/100 and looked down a pair of Queens. utg opened to 1600, btn flats, i reshipped 8800 stack, bb reshipped with 99, utg reshipped with KK and that was it.

Playing the ME day 1B tomorrow at 12 I believe.

@ break, bad news, no wifi today, they shut down all the channels that were available yesterday so i'm just using my friend's who's working as a media. So i'll only be able to update my status during every break.

couldn't win a pot today....QQ < A2hh on KKh4h7hJd board. KJs < AJo on 9cTcJc4d4h. KQs < 78o on K78J9 board... just all kinds of lame hands but playing solid and still hanging waiting for my spot.

still have 20k going into 100/200/25.

hey guys, sorry for the late update. I wasn't able to access the internet today in the poker room so I had to wait till I came back. I'm very satisfied and pleased with my performance today, played really solid and ended with a solid result.

Anyway, just right after the disastrous first 2 levels. I started to run better since then. Made a back door str8 with 9Thh on Q8h57h6 board and pfr c/c a 70% pot size bet on the river. Then had a AA vs KK for 250bb pot (that guy was pretty dumb imo, that KK is a snap fold pre in that situation). Then I played basically pretty solid, didn't make stupid moves or anything. Ended the day 1 with 117k in chips and have about 1/2 of the field left. First place is a whooping 3.77M HKD (divided that by 7.8 and you'll get a rough number in USD).

Day 2 starts in exactly 12 hours so I'm gonna go to bed soon and get a good night sleep.

BTW don't think I'll have any internet access in the tournament area but I'll try my best, probably gonna use 3G network. If you guys don't see any updates, it's because of the internet.

Sorry guys, I just gg'd the main event due to angle shoot and slow roll and part of my own fault. This is what happened:

First, I opened from co, a very aggro European 3b from the sb, note that he had card protector on his card and blocked the bottom of his two stacks, I thought for about 20 secs and pushed all in. I did count his chips very carefully before I did so and was pretty sure he had about 49k (two stacks of blue 1ks and couple of yellow 5ks). This guy took literally 30 seconds and finally turned over AA (seriously wtf). Then I was ready to lose 1/2 of my stack until dealer said its 105k!!! I was like what?! Dealer showed me his two dark red chips that are worth 25k each. That guy deliberately hid those two chips at the very bottom of his stacks and blocked it right behind the card protector so ppl can't see it. I had no idea that the 25k chips are already in play. What kinda tournament would upsize the biggest chip from 5k to 25k in day2 when the blind is only 600/1200? PS staff never mentioned the players that there are red chips in play and should put the biggest chips upfront. The only time i know that they colored up was when the ante has increased to 100 so they got off the greens. I called the floor and told him the situation, nothing they can do but gave him verbal notification. Then that was the end it.

Very poorly managed tournament this time IMO, the field got so big that they had to move scheduled side events few hours later and even that not all players were able to sit in. How hard is it to get few more mtt tables set up?

Wifi was also unavilable for players who have paid hundreds of thousands dollars in mtt buyins which pays the staff's salary. Wifi was only available for media and staff. They also made a huge deal out of it when they found out that the wifi password was outed by some media and that there were many ppl using wifi yesterday. Some media stations almost got shut down because of this. Some guy from ps who constantly follow my thread came to me yesterday asking me who gave me the password, I don't remember who it was and the guy brought tournament director and I was threatened by them that if I don't out the guy who gave me the pw, I have to stop playing the tournament. Anyone know if this is even legal? Or is there any TOC saying that I can be banned from tournament if I don't tell where I got the wifi pw from?

Really really upset about the whole situation and mad at myself for not being careful enough to ask for exact count. I apologize for everything. Still couple of events to go. Let's make the best of the rest and wish me good luck.

That's very bitter. Know this problem, you don't wanna ask the whole time about a chipcount and tries to calculate them by viewing just to run sometimes in a guy who hides some big ones somewhere which is not even allowed. He gets a verbal warning and you loose much more than you thought.
Meanwhile I don't care anymore I ask everytime I'm thinking of reraising and ask them to put their big chips in front if I see it otherwise.
Good luck for the rest!

I wanted the play the 3k event just to do something different beside the cashgame's I play all the time. Bought a ticket and had to wait 1,5 hours before my table opened. At that time the blinds where 100/200 with about 12 minutes left in that level. And we all got the normal starting stack of 5k!!! What kind of bs way of handling is that. Took me about 45 minutes to bust after being reseated 2 times in that 45 minutes. What kind of joke tournament is this??

okay so...did some math for the refund.

I skipped the 15k hkd event + 1k unused rebuy= 16k = $(1935+129)*1.17= 2085.93

Here's the refund amount for each of you who invested, please check and confirm to make sure it's right.
