Posting to say i've just received payment in full tonight. I think he is really nearly there with some payments on party. I rec via stars.

As long and as painful as it's been I think hopefully things are looking up for everyone in getting it back shortly.

nice to see some people getting paid even if op has handled the whole thing pretty horrifcally, I give him some credit for this and hopefully this will continue and everyone recieves funds asap

He is obv playing WCOOP with investor funds.

He's trying to run up whatever he has on Stars, while paying the small shares off for more time. He still had investors money on Stars correct? He couldn't/didin't get it off Stars in time for WSOP is what I thought?

If he runs good, he'll make up some bs about having/using his own funds for WCOOP and then will start paying people back faster. If he runs bad in WCOOP, well, that's not good for investors.

Didn't some investors pay their shares via Stars, and If so, I thought he never got all or most of the money off? Which is why he couldn't finish his WSOP schedule. Has he paid back all investors who sent via Stars?

There is def a chance he is using investor money for WCOOP, def can't rule that out entirely. He could be backed (doubtful) or could bink something with investor money and just say it was his. He shouldn't be playing WCOOP period, IMO.

His story was that he was unable to withdraw the funds prior to leaving the UK. This was not verified so to be honest he may of withdrew the funds or they may of been sitting in his account.

A possible thought on his WCOOP play. He was / is a regular in stars mid > high sake MTT and also plays a lot of low > mid cash games. So I dont think it's unreasonable that he may of used his FPP's to purchase tickets for several events.

He could be on one-time deals for each tournament and is paying people back as he cashes. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as his poker talent may be the only asset he has to his name.

Let me note that I'm not defending Scarer's behavior one bit. In fact, a few years ago when a horse scammed me for a WAY smaller amount, I outed him on 2+2 less than 24 hours later.
