So either he didnt play or there is extreme incompetence by the casino. Would help if one or more of the people rob said he either played with or chatted with during the event came in the thread. Would be absurd for multiple of the mistakes to be made though: the title of the receipt is different, no 10 seat was used, plus not being on entry list. Idk what to think.

Surely with the references you have posted it seems you are pretty well connected in the mtt world. Earlier you explained how you talked to many regs during this tourney. It shouldn't be hard to have a few reputable long time regs come in here and post saying they saw you playing in this tournament. If that is true.

Just read the whole thread. +1 here to this. He mentioned multiple regs said whats up, hello etc. I would think there has been plenty of time since he made that comment to PM/skype or even call if you have their # to get even 1 to post here saying you played?

OP if you did PM some 2+2 members on here, can you list them? They may have friends on here that can get ahold of them if they haven't logged on since this thread came up.

The pm he is talking about is his response to the initial questioning. He pm'd me that there was some confusion at the cashier when he registered, but didn't think anything of it at the time etc. Basically the same that he has posted here, I can copy and paste it but didn't think it was relevant since it was after the fact.

Basically, I hope he went to the Shoe last night, because I think anyone who was innocent of these accusations would go out of there way to clear this up quickly.

This is clearly a scam. His name would be in the system of registered players. Computers aren't going to make that type of mistake. I would have guessed it was a scam after the fake receipt but TD confirmation confirms it. Sucks for investors hopefully he admits his lies and tries to make the situation right

Think the 10 handed printout along with the floor denying it is the best evidence given.....I really doubt the casino would **** this up on their "main event" - had they made the tournament 10 handed by mistake at the start of the tournament the whole tournament would be ****ed and anyone else playing in it would of heard about it.....this seems highly unlikely they would make such a massive mistake. Also did rob post chip counts/hands or anything else on his twitter? Can he tell us about his bustout hand? From what I read it sounded like he mentioned nothing about the tourny but I'm too lazy to go back and read it all right now......aside from the hand he should be able to tell us what time he busted out/place, what 2p2 players he played with that day.......if he cant come up with this info and the floor says he didn't play then he clearly didn't, but we shouldn't lynch him till we give him more time to possibly clear this up.

Hey guys, after thinking long last night I need to clear the air to everyone. I didn't play this tournament. I want to apologize to everyone that is involved. I was extremely selfish and stupid to jeopardize this for essentially nothing. I continued to let this lie snowball into more and more lies itt. I just panicked and didn't know what to do. This just isn't me. I know I let a lot of people down.

I have never done this before and was completely last minute. I was backed into a corner and my walls were closing in and tried to take the easy way out. I know people don't want to hear excuses but it was a combination of a lot of bad things and bad circumstances in the last few days that made me make a really dumb decision. All the references itt were people that I dealt with years ago and have no bearing on what I am doing now. The names up there were essentially just big names to show that I have dealt with them in the past. This is not me and I don't know what the hell I was thinking.

I will be paying everyone back 50% immediately. The rest I will pay back as soon as I cash in a few assets that I own. I have very little liquid $$ at this time. I just need to set up a payment plan and I promise on everything I believe in that everyone will be paid back in full. I will make this right with everyone involved. I will PM everyone involved as well.

Once again I am truly sorry and once everyone is payed back in full, I fully expect to never be allowed on this forum or be playing with anyone else's money besides my own. If anything positive comes out of this situation, its that receipts and stacks should always be tweeted while playing with someone else's money.

Sigh. I've bought pieces of rob before and it makes me question how many times exactly ive been scammed by him, will have to look into it.

Also, one red flag is the references he uses. I havent asked them personally but its likely that jamers/dipthrong/taypaur were never asked to be used as references for this. I personally think this is long overdue, but ill be pm'ing mods to hopefully implement a new policy in the mp that requires sellers to post pic of receipt+stack upon sitting down. This would greatly minimize he trust factor involved in buying pieces imo. Thoughts?

I really am truly sorry about this. I have never ever done this before and actually planned on playing this until the morning of when I found out some bad news. Things were happening so fast and I made a horrible choice. I will try to get out all 50% installments tonight.

Read this thread from the beginning before knowing the end result, but by its midpoint I was pretty sure it was going to end with OP either disappearing or admitting he was scamming everyone. Rob was just starting to sound too much like Lance Armstrong and/or oh so many others who have been exposed on TwoPlusTwo or elsewhere (accusing others of being on a "witch-hunt..." etc).

This is not a situation where the "sorry" means a whole lot -- Rob dug in his heels for 24 hours when people called him on his story/"evidence", and crapped on others who were challenging his lies. The first response to NDFan was his one chance to apologize and salvage any modicum of credibility. Americans are quick to forgive, but there's a small window of opportunity to apologize and earn forgiveness, and it was completely missed here.

Hoping he pays people back soon. This stuff is so damaging to the poker community, really infringes on the ability of honest people to sell action.
