Just sat down at Columbus 1/2 while I am waiting for 2/5.

This is a deeptack 1/2 game where you can buy in for biggest stack.

I bought in for $300 and our session has started.

Gonna grind for 8 to 10 hours.

Your bull got stuck 1.5k today...lol at how bad I am running at 2/5.

Anyway, grinded back to only $500 down at 2/5 on my own funds.

Then moved down to 1/2 and grinded back another $300 back.

We finish down $200.00 for today.

Will post full 2/5 hand history tomorrow.

We HAVE to have some run good coming in this tournament.

Going to sleep now.

Currently down $560 at cash games.

Currently down $235 at tournaments.

Yes, you already know I'm going to try to grind that $560 I'm down at cash games before this package ends.

Keep the faith.

Good news....

This $450 tournament is now expected to have 500 to 600 entrants.

Today will have at least 250 and 50 of them are ones who satellited in.

Tomorrow will have 250 to 300, but no satellite entry people.

Floor was ill prepared and has had to delay start of tournament since they were dumb enough to not allow early registrations yesterday.

200 people in line at tourney start time.

I told them this would happen when they refused to register me at 3am last night.

What a circus.

We miss level one and I am the 4th alternate.

Terrible preparation by management.

They refused to let people register until 1 hour before start time I was told.

Start with 20k, currently at 23k.

Going into level 4. (100/200 blinds)

No one really that great at my table.

Seem to be all weak passive call stations.

Perhaps two competents, but luckily the fish have crippled them to 10k stacks.

This place is such a dog and pony show they ran out of tournament chips.

Alternates are coming in with a 10k chip and 10k in 100s.

Lol.

35k nearing end of level 6.

Lose a 15k flip...AK vs 1010 right before break.

20k heading into 300/600/75 level.

We had AK in above hand.

I have 17k in bb.

Asian makes it 1500 from co when blinds are 300/600.

I am in bb with 10hJh and defend.

Flop is 10s 4s 2c.

I check. He ships to put me all in. I call.

He proudly smacks down AQ spades.

I say,"No way. These never hit against me. I practice too hard."

Asian bricks out and is irate cursing.

I tell him to practice harder.

Flop came with an ace on it...he continuation bet..I shipped all in.

He had AJ and board went runner runner clubs on me again.

I feel I have been best player at every table I've been moved to..

I raise, then guy folds.

66 sb (-20) set mine.
55 co (-565)

I proceed to call the most active opener down with pocket fives on a 10h2h2c raised pot.

It was a 4 way raised pot to $25.

So, $100 in the middle.

I had 55 in CO. Raiser was OTB.

He bet $85 into flop. $215 into a 3 on the turn.

Then $250 on a river 8.

Guy had 10hJh.

This was a big mistake and put me down around 1k for the day.

I actually end up getting stuck 1.5k (played another big pot where somebody with a pair/flush draw got there on my overpair in a $1000 pot) in the 2/5 game, but grinded back to only $500 down.

With 1.5k on the table. I decided to pick up my stack as everyone else was playing 1k-3k.

Then I moved to $1/$2 and grinded back an additional $300.

The People's Bankroll

Cash games: -$560

Tournaments: -$685

Will be on my way back to the casino to play $1/$2 for four hours soon and you all are freerolling.

Anything I make will be put back onto what I am down in the cash games.

Also Day 1B is tomorrow and I'll be well rested/ready to go on our second bullet.

Here's one $2/$5 hand where my losing/donk image after calling that guy down helped.

I had my stack at $650 and had 88 in the sb.

6 way pot and flop comes 8 10s 9s.

I check and a solid competent player bets $25. I call. Everyone else folds.

Turn is a 10c.

I check and he bets $50. I quickly call again.

River is a brick and I shove for $570.

Guy tanks..levels himself into thinking I am on super tilt and calls me with A10.

He thought I missed my flush or straight draw.

Good news....

Won just over $200 last night in four hours of 1/2 so we are down $360 in the cash games.

Hilarious news....

This tournament has been capped at 200 entrants today.

So, there will be 450 total in the event.

Due to them only anticipating 150 for the event, the state is only allowing them to pay out 14 places.

I entered today knowing this full well since we aren't looking to min cash anyway.

Go us!!

Think I would've asked for a new setup after this one ;0) FWIW, never raising in this hand was -EV IMHO. Were you the agressor PF? By continuing to call instead of raising you never really knew where you were at. You might've had some fold equity on the turn too depending on stacks. Just my $.02

Have you considered a package in which you grind crazy hours of $1/$2 and just ****ing CRUSH?!! Might be a good way to get that momentum swinging hard in the right direction...

GL today LG!! Thanks for all the updates.

I know that play seems atrocious looking at it and not being there, but I didn't want to raise and fold out this aggressive players air range.

He was breathing heavily on the turn and the reason why is because he knew I could have had a stronger ten or a duece.

I misread that heavy breathing for complete air/weakness.

If I'm right I look like a wizard. If I'm wrong I look like a donk.

The call down didn't tilt me because I believed in my read and unfortunately that time it just wasn't right.

That's why I didn't give up/bought back in on my own dime and grinded back.

The only mistake I made was continuing to sit in that deepstacked 2/5 game that was all solid/winning regulars who knew one another.

My ego got the best of me continuing to play in it.

But, I came out almost even.

In my next package I will stick to 1/2 and see what kind of results that gets us....

400/800 blind level.

We have KK in mp and table call station has limped in.

We make it 2200 to go.

3 way pot.

4 4 8 flop.

We cbet 7k.

Sb calls. Call station calls.

Turn is a 6.

Turn and river then check thru...

I knew the fish call station had a 4.

Lol at him getting no value.

Yeah, he just felt super weak, but had no idea what to do besides barrelling I'm guessing?? You know better than I, but a shove OTF could've at least made him consider a fold? Still better than just calling down IMVHO
