Proof of Toledo Entry:

I decided not to go to Hollywood Columbus Megastack because...

I called the poker room last night and the floor said that $450 tournament normally only gets 40-60 people and it's just not worth the drive/hotel expense to cruise out there for me.

So, I now owe $450+ mark up back to you guys, call it $500.00.

The People's Bankroll:

Cash game: $1,000.00

Tournaments: $2,510.00 ($1650.00 Heartland ME, $360.00 Heartland Satty, $500.00 Hollywood Columbus Megastack Refund.)

I am about to head to the gym, then am heading to Motor City Casino to crush the $2/$5 game for 8 hours tonight.

Hopefully, variance doesn't beat us with an Easton basbeball bat again.

Still $200 up for the night after 8 hours and Ima keep grinding.

No big pots to report in the entire 8 hour day.

Biggest won I won was $225, biggest lost was $90.

I'm giving you guys an extra $2/5 session since I didn't play Columbus as well.

It may be today or next Thursday.

We are slightly in the green for cash, slightly in the red for tourney.

Also, I have good news.

Poker Player Newspaper and Poker Pro Magazine are going to give me a shot at a monthly column.

Still hammering out details and negotiating how far I can take the vulgarity, political opinions, dark imagery, etc.....

Hitting the gym then I am going to post this mammoth session report.

Also, a few of you have sent me pms and I am not big timing you...

I have just been busy and will respond to those as well.

If you wanna add a tourney into this package for the one you are skipping Firekeepers has their monthly 240 tomorrow. Field is really soft basically a bunch of 1/2 cash game players who have no idea how to play tournament poker mixed with a few players who think they know what they are doing who I would consider to be bad regs online.
Rise of The Bull: The Quest For The People's Ring Quote

How many people does Firekeepers $240 get?

I prefer tournaments have 300 plus people if entry is that low.

usually around 100-120, around 6k for first normally. Figured I would suggest it since it wouldnt be a terrible drive for you.

$2/$5 Session

Motor City Casino

I sit down and the table is full of nits, $hitty regs, and a few competent players.

No dead money fish or over aggressive goons.

I request a table change, but the floor sucks and pretty much ignores me for two hours.

78s otb (-5) brick/fold.
QQ mp r $20 all fold. (7)
K9s otb r $25, cbet two toned/a high board, one nit and one $hitty reg call and I'm done with the hand. (-60)
KK mp flat $20 raise and let $hitty reg barrel off his short $200 stack with 10/10 on a 8 5 2 flop. (200)
Aj otb flat $40 raise (-40)

This was a straddled pot and there were 3 callers by the time it got to me. The person who opened was a nit and he was only sitting with $500, so I actually think this is a fold>3bet>flat. I consider it a mistake.

J9s hj r $20 cbet k23 rainbow (40)

QQ mp r $25, pick up one caller and I get value on flop/turn as $hitty reg is chasing a flush. I check river to him in hopes he'll stab at the pot, but he just gives up and mucks. (150)

44 sb (-25) called raise/brick.
JJ r $25 (17) all limps fold.
77 mp (90) flop set in limped pot, check raise 7s10sJh flop and all fold.
AA sb r $30 (25) all limpers fold.
Q10 hj r $25 (12) all limpers fold.

99 sb (-15) called raise, 8c7c2d flop, checked and there was a lot of action in a 7 way pot so I just gave up here.

A8s hj (-5)
86s hj r $25 (-95)

Flop 234 rainbow. Double barrel. Checked river cuz I picked up a 6 for showdown value. Board read 23496. Villian had limp/called with 1010.

45s co (-5)limp/fold to raise
Ak hj r $25 fold to nit's $75 SB 3bet. (-25)
Qjs utg2 (-5)
56s co (-25) call raise/6way/brick
QQ mp r $25, call a short stacks all in, he has AQ. I win. (170)
Ak hj (-35) called nits raise. Guy had kk. Almost just folded pre the dude was so tight.
88 bb (-10) straddled pot/brick.
75s co (-5) limp/ftr (fold to raise.)
A7o bb (-10) straddled pot, i completed, I think this may be a fold, though.
Kj mp (-5) limp/ftr
Qjs hj r $20 (-55) 2callers, fired a cbet on a 10 2 3 board. Called in both spots. Gave up since nothing good came on turn for me to rep or give me more outs.
22 mp2 r $25, 1 caller, cbet and win (25)
K10s co r $25 (-70)

Chase straight for one street by calling a $hitty regs donk.

Board was Qs Js 8d and I had Kc10c. I think I should have raised the $hitty regs donk. Thoughts??

67s mp (-5)
K10s otb r $25 (-25) 3callers 8d9dQs fold to a donk and a donk call.
Kq hj r $25 (-25)

1 $hitty reg caller.

Jd 9d 2h

Fold to $40 donk.

Should I be peeling one/raising in these spots? These $hitty reg donkers all are on $200-$400 stacks by the way.

AK mp2 3 bet a $25 open to $70 (225) Get it all in vs a ****ty reg with AQ and our AK wins.
77 mp (-5) brick flop/fold
K9s co r $25 (-25) fold to 3bet out of BB.
88 sb (-20) called raise and brick the set mine.
J9s utg2 r $25 3c (75) flop top pair, cbet and all fold.
Kqs mp r $25 3callers (-25) c/f flop.
AQ co (-25) called raise/brick .
QQ mp r $25 (-25) 4 callers Ac 3c 5s board and I check/fold.
43s co r $25 ($90)

3 callers.

Flop is 4 Q 8 rainbow.

It checks to me and I bet $65, COMPETENT BUT MEGA TILTING PLAYER WHO SPEW BLUFFS IN BAD SPOTS makes it $165, the other two guys in the hand fold.

Everything inside of me wanted to ship back over the top all in. But, I folded. Guy was on mega tilt and I really didn't think he had anything. But, I decide to wait for a better spot.

Also, starting to feel a little tilty because I am just not connecting with flops.

So, I decide I am leaving soon.

KK MP r $25. 2 callers. One of them is the same tilting competent, the other two are $hitty regs.

Flop is 8c 2c 5h

Checks to me and I fire a $40 bet.

Tilting competent quickly calls. The other two fold.

Turn is a 10d. I check to tilting competent/hoping he will put me on AK and try to steal.

He barrels $100. I call.

River is a 2 H.

I check again. He barrels $250. I call. He insta mucks. (500)

55 co (-25) set mine, brick.
K6 bb (-30)

Flop top and bottom.

Kh 10h 6s

Check/call flop, so does one other.

3 way to the turn.

Turn is a 10d. DOH

Give up here and decide to leave shortly after.

Posted a $570 win for the session.

Put on some pants and put some money in the damn pot son.

bet/bet or bet, c/r river in the KK hand but definitely don't c/c turn. lead or c/r the two pair. Remember, live poker is all about maximizing value.

AJ straddled pot - this is gonna be a a fold if the opener is tight, straddled pot or not. would be decent spot/hand to squeeze if stacks were deeper/pot was unstraddled.

A7o- fold this.

KT/KQ- certainly good hands to include in a flop raise range on these boards but hard to stay if raise or call is best here without more info. these are great spots to pick up dead money so you want to be paying close attention to donked pots.

Tonight was a grind.

I got $500 up, then $500 down, then came back to cash out an $85 profit.

Will post entire hand history tomorrow.

6 hour session because the game started to die around 3:00am.

Also I ended up meeting 2+2er Pay4MySchool.

Session 6:

Motor City Casino, I buy in for $400.

Sit down to a $2/$5 table that contains three players who regularly play the $5/$10 game, three nits, and three recreational players.

Definitely a lot of 3-betting, double/triple barreling going on.

I admit this wasn't the best of tables to play at, but I wanted to make sure I got in some hours.

Q10s mp(-5) limp/fold
10Js mp (-5)
KsQd utg2 raise $20 (90) 1 caller in the BB.

Flop is 7s 8s 9h

He checks,I check.

Turn is an Ace of spades which I feel hits my range.

So, I bet $30. Villain quickly calls.

River is another spade. Checks to me. I bet $50 for value. Villain calls/mucks.

Perhaps I could have bet another $25-$50.

Qj mp raise $20 (-20) 3callers and I am done on the bricked flop.
Kj sb (-15) called pot sweetener
Q8s raise $40 (28) straddled pot, no callers.
1010 utg raise $20 (-20) 4 callers, ended up folding to $100 3bet from competent $5/$10 player. If I had a bigger bankroll I might have jammed a 4bet down his throat.
AA hj (370) flatted $25 raise pre from competent aggro $5/$10 player who had just lost a big pot and was down to $370. Flop was 8 high and I was able to extract max value from him barreling with 1010.

AsQs otb (-290) flatted $35 pre-flop from a rec player on tilt. I had a tight/strong image and the flop came down Js 4s 3h. Rec player bet out $60, and I decided to put him all in for $290. Villain ended up having AJ and we missed our spade draw/queen draw.

K9s co (-5)

Ad9d mp raise $20(450)

3 callers. $80 in the pot.

Kd 3 4d flop

Checks to me and I bet $60, folds around to same rec player who is kind of on tilt with $380 left in his stack and he ships.

I figure he could be doing this with a set, Kx, diamond draw, straight draw, or maybe even 2nd/3rd pair. Never played with him before but he's been throwing money around for the last hour. So, I call.

I end up hitting an ace on the turn and that's enough to beat what he had.

He mucks his cards quickly. So, I can't even ask to see.

KQ mp (-25) raised $25, got 4 callers, bricked flop, done with hand.
K10s hj (-50) I called a $15 pot sweetener, ended up flopping an OESD, took one rip at it, then folded on the turn when a guy bombed it.

This was a possible 3bet pre spot, but didn't want to take it in this game.

77 mp (-5)
AA otb (-700)

Folds around to me OTB and I make it $20 to go with hopes that the $5/$10 player in the BB will play back at me. It folds around to him and he makes it $55 to go. I think that a $55 3-bet when he has normally been doing $85-$105 3bets is very strong. I assume he'd jack it up higher with air. So, I really thought he had an AQ-AK here or 88-KK.

I smooth call.

$110 in pot. Flop is 4h2h4c.

He leads out $100.

I tank for a minute and make it $275.

He insta ships. I snap call.

Guy shows POCKET FOURS.

I get OWNED.

Reload $340 onto an $80 stack.

A9s co raise $20 (20) 1caller, cbet bricked board and win.
33 hj raise $20 (-20) 4 callers, no set no bet.
A10 hj (-10) straddle pot, should have raised here, im a pussy.
86s mp raise $25 (-25) fold to $100 3bet
J8s co (-5)
Aks utg2 (400) I raise to $25 and get 3 callers.

One of them is the competent/aggressive $5/$10 player who is OTB.

Flop comes down 9 2 3 rainbow and I am pretty sure he'll take a stab at it OTB if it checks through to him.

BB checks to me. I check. Another guy checks. As expected, guy OTB slams $100 in the pot. BB folds. I ship for $325 total hoping to get credit for 1010-AA since I'm making the same play if I had 1010-AA.

Folds back to OTB who calls.

Luckily we smash an Ace on the river.

Again, villain does not show what he had.

Ac3c mp (-30) limped in and then called a $30 raise from a villain who seemed to be on tilt. The flat call was a mistake. I should have 4bet or folded. Fukk, flat calling to play in a 4 way pot.
55 utg2 (80) I limp in, 3 others limp in and it gets to active $5/$10 guy OTB who does an $80 3bet. I ship all in for my entire stack, he's got around $400 back because he just reloaded. He folds quickly.

This was my first 4 bet of the night and in every big pot I showed down AA, AK, or AQ. So, I figured I had the credit to l/rr AA or KK here. The plan worked. Felt good to finally shove a 4bet down his throat.

55 mp (-25) set mine, brick fold, pot was 5 way.
Kj sb (-5)

I ended up winning $85 for the 6 hour session at what I thought was the toughest table I've played at in Detroit.
