Hi everyone,
I've been invited to play in the latest Poker Night in America $25/50 cash game episode which is being filmed January 16th, 2015 at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, NJ and will air on CBS Sports at some point in 2015. I was invited to play the highly successful ladies night game which was filmed earlier this month but had to decline due to my recent spine surgery.

I am selling two $5k bullets at face value and will be selling 75-80% of myself total for this game. I am a long time member of the poker community, am the founder of TWSS (the ladies forum here on 2+2), am a mod on 2+2 in MTTc and TWSS, am the founder of The Grindettes (a well known group of professional female players) and have been playing poker professionally for 8 of the last 10 years. My website is www.KatiePoker.com and has more information about my path from chess to poker as well as a few articles I have been featured in.

I have sold several packages on 2+2, however they have all been for tournaments. I've played mostly mtts online for the majority of my career, however I have played low stakes cash live and online on and off for most of my career as well, and am definitely headed in that direction on a more long term basis. I moved back to my home state of NJ this year after living in Mexico for 1.5 years playing online and currently play live and online poker here on the regulated sites in NJ un-backed, full time. I have been fortunate to have some really great poker minds within my inner circle for the past several years as investors as well as informal mentors, graciously helping me to improve. My boyfriend, Joe Cappuccio (Joey Capp & Cappuccio816 online) is also a professional poker player and we constantly talk about hands and are always pushing and helping each other to improve.

This game is a great and fun opportunity for me in so many ways and I am so excited to get a chance like this. Please find below some links and graphs from past packages sold and other general details about this package. The lineup for the game is not yet set, but the players who have committed so far are: Dan Shak, Craig Carton (sports radio personality) Matt Stout and Jamie Kerstetter.

I can do BofA, WF, CQP, PP for people I know, wire transfers and cash in person in or around Atlantic City. Funds need to be received prior to 1/16/15 unless otherwise arranged. Any additional endorsements/sponsorships that result from my appearance on the show are mine alone. If the second bullet is unused it will obviously be refunded.

Hey

Can you post your online cash results, even if it's small stakes.

I may have missed this but few questions

1) is there straddles in this game? IF so how high have they been previously. Will you straddle? Will you continue playing if the game is higher etc

2) what is the expected line up? Female only or a mix? Any confirmed names?

So you're a pro, you played profesionally for 8 years and you're selling 80% of yourself in a CASH game? LOL. So basically you know you're not likely to do well and want others to fund your TV time? But then again I've seen people get "staked" for $1/$2, so I've seen stranger things lol.

P.S. This thread also seems to be in the wrong forum:

"1) All sales of LIVE tournament staking shares on 2+2 belong in this forum. Threads seeking cash game stakes and long-term stakes and threads offering stakes belong in the Staking forum."

Nothing wrong with selling 80% of ones action imo

Don't think it's fair to bash someone when they have posted their results and are selling at face.

Would like to see cash results as well. MTT results with and avg bi of 8$ are pretty irrelevant here. Thanks

Please don't disrespect the people who are gracious enough to allow us the opportunity to share in the successes of their career. We are very privileged to have people putting themselves out there and taking their time to try to make us money. Serves no one to bash them. Taking on variance and allowing people to take bigger shots is the only inherent value we bring to the table.

Also, there is a ton of precedent in people selling cash stakes on this forum. Usually if it's for a set period or you have to buy in for x amount it makes sense to consider it like any package. I'd personally consider this opportunity to be more like a tournament or sng then a normal cash game anyways because of the rules. Best of luck to op. I hope you kill it on the felt.

Unless a poster is a known untrustworthy player or scammer, it's pretty whack to crap on an open marketplace offer--with an extra emphasis on OPEN. If you don't find an MP offer to be worth it, then don't buy it. Simple as that.

Or if you really HAVE to get involved, why don't you offer constructive suggestions to the OP on how they might make it more attractive. They might not think it's worth THEIR time to do so, but again it's an open marketplace.

GL OP!

Done a lot of staking the past 6 months. I'll do my due diligence and make my choice. Important to keep scammers out of the MP but sometimes I'll just take a flyer on someone, especially with no MU. If I can sit on my couch in Colo and have a piece of someone playing on PNIA with no expense but the buy in....well, I know the risk.

+5 million for Katie w someone who does nothing but put her rep on the line. If you don't want to invest, don't buy. Easy as that.

I wasn't intending to troll btw. I think I remembered lily killeto Mississippi straddling in one game and obviously that changes things completely, it's actually a good thing for you I assume if there is straddles (way better than the deep cg guys in those shallow spots)

Btw does t have to be 5k+5k? Maybe 2.5x4 would be more appropriate due to skill set?

Again hope I'm not coming across as a troll and I'm genuinely interested/possibly will buy.

Puhleeze. I know professionals that have played longer than 8 years that would absolutely crush this cash game but are likely not fully rolled for 5/10 much less 25/50. A player can be underrolled for a variety of reasons and those reasons don't necessarily have anything to do with his/her playing ability.

Attacking someone for selling at face value seems a little aggro, even for marketplace trolls. GLGL Katie, see you there.

I honestly don't know if/what kind of straddles will be permitted in this game...from what I understand, the game can be run differently depending on location. For example, some filming locations rake the game and others don't. Golden Nugget isn't really known for poker, so details even for us are still up in the air. Filming for example may take place over a couple of days...Todd Anderson the producer sends us info as he has it, but we haven't heard much in the past few weeks because of the holidays as well as him being extremely busy etc. We don't know the rest of the lineup yet either.

I listed this in my OP, but prob got lost because of my walls of text, but the confirmed players so far are Dan Shak, Craig Carton (radio host), Matt Stout, Jamie Kerstetter and myself.

My avg buyin pre BF while I was playing on Stars full time, un-backed was about $14 over approx 10k mtts. By the time I moved to Mexico in 2012, I got a backing deal and was playing much higher stakes, which increased my avg buyin to about $44, therefore altering all my pretty graphs and ROI's.

With regards to online cash results, I have gone through 4 laptops since 2012, with the most recent one being one month old. Unfortunately I have lost several databases because of this and therefore am unable to show cash game graphs. I realize cash games are different from mtt's and understand wanting to see graphs, however mtts are all that I am able to show.

I am obviously much more experienced in mtts, which is one reason I am min-buying into this game, but I feel pretty comfortable 100bbs deep regardless of if I'm playing cash or mtts and am excited to play in this game.

Based on the effort you've put into this thread, that the line up is not just pros and that I totally get that this game is above normal bank roll and that it would be a real shame to not play in a high profile televised game...... I will take 2% please Katie.

Quick question: How much do you need to sell to play this? And if you don't reach your target will you still play but with one bullet only?

If the answer to the second part is yes then I am happy to increase my equity to 4% for one $5K bullet.

Come on 2plus2 community..... let's help get Katie into this game. One day you or I may be in the same situation (an invite to a special televised game) and may well need the same support of backing.

Also, this is a 2 bullet cash game so theoretically the variance is way lower than backing for one medium to large sized MTT. Unless the game goes on for many, many hours, I would expect investors' returns to be between +33% and -33% a high proportion of the time.

And with maybe 10 to 20 backers on board one would think that Katie will be more focused than a few of her opponents to play her absolute A game.

You can see a few previous episodes of the cash game here http://www.pokernight.com/

Really sorry for missing the selected line up I must have been tired when I read it. Fair enough for not posting cash game results but restricting your graph to 0-15 stakes doesn't make so much sense to me especially as this is such a big buy in. Just because it's higher variance doesn't mean we shouldn't post those kind of graphs, if it was winning 100k in the same sample would you post it?

Love watching these cash games and genuinely even if you think I'm trolling I'll be rooting for you and the marketplace to win. Good luck
