P.S. This thread also seems to be in the wrong forum:

"1) All sales of LIVE tournament staking shares on 2+2 belong in this forum. Threads seeking cash game stakes and long-term stakes and threads offering stakes belong in the Staking forum."

Last time I check 25/50 was a pretty big game. As a matter of fact, for regular people a big session at 25/50 is probably going to be life changing. What's the problem with her asking for a stake in a professional manner? Are there not pros who grind 1/2 games online?

Dude, not all poker "pros" have millions in disposable income. I don't think she "expects to lose" lmfao

It's poker, anyone of us could burn through 2 5k bullets in 2 hands at 25/50. Who wants to drop 10,000$

All but one of my references has bought my action in the past and a decent amount of them buy my action for live tournaments on a regular basis. They simply don't want to advertise to the world that they buy action in general.
man. this thread. smh.

the girl's literally provided all the data you need to do your own research and assess whether or not she's a worthy investment and admitted that she mostly focuses on MTTs so her cash records are shoddy. and yet, some troll still feels entitled to plop himself into the thread to throw shade on a woman daring to sell her action in the (cough) free (cough) MARKETPLACE. you know what i do when i see something i don't want to buy at the marketplace? I KEEP FRICKIN WALKING.

i guarantee this troll would never leave such an inappropriate message on this thread if it was posted by a dude and as a fellow female who's also dealt with a troll or two, i find it really shameful and i got nothin but support for katie and what she's trying to do. she's not boasting or running her mouth about how she's the best, she's honestly presenting herself to the marketplace and trying to take a shot. that kind of unnecessary yammering about how "this chick's not worth it" from the peanut gallery is obnoxious and unnecessary and it sucks that Katie's had to deal with it. (not to mention the fact that she's literally selling herself at face-value which is almost always a good buy if the person even has half a clue what they're doing out there.)

full disclosure: Katie and I know each other IRL and i definitely think it's fair to say that we've had our disagreements over the years. but i was compelled to post here and take a moment to stand up for her game, her hustle, and her drive to constantly improve, something i've been watching her do for several years now. when she wants something she goes and gets it, and if that person isn't a worthwhile investment in a game i dunno who is. she's taking a shot in a big game and while you may or may not think she's a good investment financially, i think opening herself up here and taking a shot is incredibly brave. if you don't feel that way, keep your mouth shut and move along. don't come in here and dump on someone who is a longtime trusted member/moderator of the 2+2 community and start asking them "why they think they're good enough" - she made her case in her OP. if you're not convinced but you're interested in buying and need more info, speak with her privately. otherwise, grow the hellllllll upppppp and moooooove alonggggg.

listening to some idiot baby-men in this thread who can't believe a woman would be so arrogant as to think she's worthy of investment who question why "so and so" isn't buying because she listed all these big-name reference is utterly ridiculous. we all know (especially those of us in the tournament community) that all MTT players (even the ones playing 10ks every month) are varying levels of busto at any given point and many are locked up in stupid make-up deals up to their eyeballs. it's just the general nature of the MTT economy. and to come in here and question someone point blank as to why their rich, famous poker friend isn't buying their action is presumptuous as hell and Katie does not owe a single one of you an explanation as to the motivations of other people. people do or don't buy action for any number of reasons. (like she said, some purchased anonymously, but even if they didn't, it's still none of our business or relevant to the discussion!) if those people she listed are all willing to step up & vouch for Katie's rep that's all that's required of them when she asked them to be a reference for her - being a ref does not mean "i buy from this person every time without hesitation" it means that other person knows them personally & thinks they're a trustworthy, solid investment.

anyway, just wanted to say again that katie is a fierce competitor and i'm really sorry you had to deal with creeps like this stinking up your marketplace post, girl.
