My name is Darren Dwyer and I primarily played under FTP as 'idubdeuce' and under stars as 'Blackmojos' and i am selling half of my main event action at the rio at 15% markup. I'll be buying 5k of myself for 65% equity of myself. I was primarily a HU cash player playing from 1-2 through 10-20 reglarly during the 2 years i played seriously online. During that time I played sunday majors and FTOPS events whenever i had free time.

I won the 50-50 when I first started out for 10.5k.

I won a 30+3 rebuy for 12k.

I got 3rd in the ftops 500 by in for 170k.

I chopped the sunday million six ways for ~100k.

I have played less then 40 tournaments live (most in tunica MS, and STL where I went to school and currently live) and have had very good results. I have 3 circuit final tables and have FTed one venetian deepstack tournament for 5kish since I have been here.

I have been coached by dogishead, and jungleman12. Both of who will vouch for me. Also, I spend alot of time talking poker hands with CR instructor cpar1, who is a personal friend, and will also vouch for me.

I have never sold action before and I don't want to sell alot of little pieces. I'm going to be putting up 5k myself for the 10k buyin. I want to sell pieces of 10%+ and if there is 10% excess of myself the day before the main I will buy it.

I am here in Las Vegas living in an apartment and would like to do cash exchange at the rio or venetian where I usually am. Priority goes to first who book on here and will meet live asap. Are you selling 50% or 35%?

this is my first time ever selling action but what I'm trying to do is put up 5k, have 15% markup so I get 65% of myself for my 5k and have someone buy 35% for 5k.

If i'm wrong here somewhere please let me know.

Your math is wrong because you are using the word "markup" in a non-standard way. You're thinking that for 5k you should have 50% of your action, but since you're charging 15% "markup" you instead get 65%.

However this is not what the term markup means in this sense and therefore will confuse investors. Markup refers to the percent at which you are selling each dollars worth of action. So if you are selling at 15% markup, then each $1 of action costs investors $1.15.

Therefore, if you want to sell 35%, which would normally cost $3,500, then at 15% markup it would now cost $3,500*1.15=$4025. This would leave you with 65% equity of yourself, at a cost to you of $10,000-$4,025=$5,975.

Yeah I can vouch for deuce's credibility. I have trusted him with money several times and have never had a reason to feel worried at all about our transactions. He is also a very solid with his tournament game. My staking budget is a bit tight but if this isn't sold by tomorrow morning Ill take the rest. Ill post when I do. GL.
