I netted "The People's Bankroll" a $315 win last night in Toledo, Ohio at Hollywood where I actually saw Chris Money maker getting a soda at the fountain pop station right by the poker room. This was the exact conversation.

I sort of stared him down in dismay at first like, "Wtf. Is that Chris Moneymaker?"

Then I said, "Hey big shooter. You going to play Colossus this year?"

Then he laughed and said, "No. I am not going to be out there that early in the series. Besides there's going to be way too many people coming out for that. Just not worth my time."

"Well. You've been an awesome ambassador for the game," I replied. "I figured you might want to relax for a couple days, drink some beers, and fire four bullets since I'm sure the WSOP would sponsor you in it if you asked. I mean lets be honest you're the reason over half the field is playing. I am sure they'd put you in."

He went on to thank me for the compliment and said no that they wouldn't.

That would be really dumb if Moneymaker actually wanted to play and they didn't put him in. Maybe he has contracts with other tournament brands or something. I don't know. Anyway, this is the first official Lotgrinder meme I made in the history of the internet.

I think all of us who play for a living can identify with this and get a good laugh.

You'd either get full $200,000 if you had all the proper tax forums needed which showed you were going to declare the income on your own or I'd have to withhold 30% if I were to declare it on my own taxes.

World Series of Poker 2015 Update #2

As you can see from the post two spots above my action for Package #1 of the 2015 WSOP has essentially sold out. If the rest is not bought up by May 25th it will all go to "Tom H." He is a Total Rewards Seven Star member I met back during my 2013 trip and he is working on possibly getting the bull 10-14 days of free days stay at a Total Rewards property. So, I decided to just buy a one way ticket to Las Vegas because the great thing about this trip is that anything can happen again. My first trip I only planned on playing one small $1500 WSOP tournament and ended up blogging my way into the Main Event. I am ready to embrace the random and have a lot of fun.

Over the last two years I have drastically improved my cash game and tournament skills by corresponding with some well known 2+2 posters behind the scenes who have been kind enough to offer me free coaching from time to time. At this current time I am considering taking some staked shots at Deepstack $2/$5 NLHE or Bellagio $5/$10 NLHE where I'll be charting my hands like the following session I played last night in Detroit.

I initially planned to play this session on "The People's Bankroll." But, was really really tired and the line up at the table really only had one big fish when I was sat at the table. (Besides myself obviously.) Anyway, the make up of the table was one opponent who I respect two spots to my left. A standard ABC rec to my direct left. The table fish two spots to my right and then the rest of the table was made up with all straight forward TAGS. Like, the type that have read Super System. Maybe have read some updated strategy. But, really the only thing they learned is how to play pre-flop better. They still suck on the flop, turn, and river. So, nothing to worry about. Only direct threat to is two spots to my left. As we step into the ring and the crowd cheers our theme song for the night blares from Motor City Casino's public address system.

Through a year of mostly playing too tight we have established a TAG/NIT image of our own that we have finally started to use to our advantage over the last few months. So, we open the action with...

Which translates into King of spades/2 Of spades in the small slind, 6 limpers, raise to $40, all Fold, We profit $35.

Which translates into 4s2s in the bb, A rec reg makes a pot sweetener $15 open, 2 callers by the time it gets to us, we 3bet to $65, all fold. We win $45.

He said he folded QQ. But, player next to him told me he folded 77. So, there you see guy was sure I had AA or KK on that play and was telling me he folded QQ to try and get me to show my AA or KK even though he had 77.

So, the game just sort of died and I was dead tired.

I racked up and left.

But, the above is how I plan to chart a lot of my cash game action that's upcoming at the WSOP and if I can get an established tournament player or two to help train the bull I am more than willing to chart the hands I play in tournaments.

Question because I do not want to offend any of my backers.

If an investor Tom H. were to ask me to play an additional tournament on his own dime, like lets say one that is taking place on an off day for me.

Would it be considered offensive to my backers?

Would it be more correct for me to post notification before hand and open up a certain % to those who have a piece of me in Package #1.

Like, if he says, "Hey I want you to play this $1500 tournament on my dime and split profits with me."

Should I say, "Ok. That sounds good. But, as a courtesy to those who own a % of me in package #1 I'd like to only take 75% backing from you and give the rest of people who have already backed me a chance to buy up the other 25%."

Any advice on that subject is appreciated.

LG, I am a big fan so I would want a % of any WSOP event you enter but if this guy is going to offer you a sweet deal I don't want to interfere with that either. Tough spot but whatever you decide is good with me.

Every time I am in the same city as him he asks to put me in a tournament or bigger cash game. Turned down a few offers for $1500 events or $1650 WSOP circuit mains because he has an awful habit of texting me or calling me the night before (when I am already partying because I had no plans to play) or the morning of when I am hungover. He doesn't run a stable or anything. Offers no coaching. Just likes to play $1/$2 and tournaments himself. Think he plays a lot of table games and when up big looks to put people he knows in big events. I think he's hit some home runs with it before. I am not the only guy he offers. I'll probably open a % up and leave the option to take the % open until level 4 or something ONLY for people who have backed me before so I know I am not going to get "Chino Reemed" in the ass by anyone.

In that case do it, if he is willing to put you into a bunch of bigger tournies you cannot pass that up. Plus it improves your game which benefits all of us.

It's not a bunch. Usually only in same city as him a few times a year. Out of nine times he's offered three times. Every time I was already out drinking with a girl that had like flew in that day/we had plans for the weekend. I wish he'd offer a bunch. But, it's just a random thing. I am pretty sure it's going to happen again this time around as he is excited about my cash game success lately. So, I am pretty sure I am going to take him up on it and be ready to take him up on it!!!! Only planning on drinking/socializing a couple nights. If even that much.
