Friday Night 2/5 At Mgm Detroit

I got to the must move table around 10pm and it was filled with 3 fish, 3 $****ty regs, 1 weak passive, 1 nit, and one other solid player.

A couple of the fish were aggro/gambooler types, though.

So, I wasn't able to limp in many hands and see flops cheaply.

This is every hand I voluntarily put money in the pot during the 5 hour session.

(I finished down $570, since there was a $100 hand I won out of the BB with 9/2 offsuit.)

87s mp -15 (limped, called pot sweetener raise, bricked flop/fold.)
33 mp -30 (limped, called raise, 6 way to flop, no set, fold.)

Table was full of weak/passives, nits, or $hitty regs.

Not one player I recognized.

Perhaps all the good $2/$5 players were up at The Heartland Poker Tournament that was going on at The Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasent.

Decided to pound in position, value bet relentlessly.

I felt like I was the best player at the table the entire time.

Ajs utg -20 (l never know what to do with this hand UTG, so I just kind of did a pot sweetener bet to see where it goes. I got 3 callers, bricked a Q/10 flop and check/folded to a raise and then a call in front of me.)

I need to find more tables like this one as it's easier for me to play against nits, weak/passives, $hitty regs at this point....

If I'm playing with your $$$, I want you to see what I'm doing/my thought processes.

I can take detailed notes like that during tournaments/in my downtime.

If you can do the above without adversely effecting your tournament play or focus on the table then great.

But if you are missing key action during the tournament because you are retroactively recording this info, then I'd rather you didn't.

So if you are awesome and able to do those notes without impacting your play (and/or the notes help your play while you are playing) then I'm all for it.

But if you are missing key action at the table because you are taking notes for us, I'd rather you didn't take notes for us and just focused on the tourney.

I wouldn't recommend recording every hand. It is a waste of time. When I am playing I usually pay attention to stack size at the end of every level and players remaining.

I take notes on only those hands that add or reduce the size of the stack by a decent amount. So, this would be a few times in a level.

You can focus on collecting the information on your opponents the rest of the time.

Then, when I get home, I log the full details of the hand.

I am not typing in all pertinent information while I am playing.

Just record hands that cause a decent gain or loss in stack size.
